Sorry about your over the top weekend. Those never feel good (I had one too) but at least they were S days so you can feel good about staying on track. After too much socializing I tend to want to eat as a way of releasing tension & to decompress. I'm an introvert though so I really feel it if I don...

Oh boy I gave up on that program but I have somehow gotten a little better so maybe it did help. I guess maybe the temper is just a result of being w our little ones 24/7 without our man helpers around. I think everyone has already made great points so just wanted to give my encouragement. Yeah it's craziness. On our Vegas trip my sister got up early everyday & worked out, she skipped meals or just ate fruit and still seemed self-conscious in her bathing suit. A lot of great insight into your eating worth it! It's so important to not try to make up for overindulgences. It really helps to break that binge/starve/binge cycle and I think that's one of the main differences with Nos. It's meant to be long term so one off day isn't going to matter in the big sc...

Yesterday was my first NoSpending day & was pretty cool. Definitely harder than I thought but I love how it forces one to be resourceful just like you making a card for your friends. My girls had a doc check- up & was planning on taking them out to lunch and then to the bookstore. Instead we had a n...

Might be helpful to have a very basic rotating two or three week menu plan. Even simple meals like hot dogs, chips & fruit or pasta, bread & packaged salad will be more satisfying then just trying to scrounge. A plan will make shopping easier & maybe your daughter would enjoy helping in the kitchen....

Oh I'm so glad you're feeling better auto! It's so hard being sick when you're a mom not to mention being a teacher on top of that! You're rocking this parenting stuff too! My girls wouldn't last a day in your house! Btw, had my first no spend day. Going to try for two no spending days/wk. I'...

Thank you auto! Talia means "heaven's dew". Their names seem to fit their personalities really well too. So funny Ursula! I think it's all about getting real for me these days. I used to exercise as much as I dieted but just got so burnt out on all of it. Now I'm realizing exercise is suppose ...

I know in the beginning having a red day felt pretty devastating but now I don't even bother thinking in those terms & don't do the habitcal anymore. This isn't about red or green or yellow, right? This is about having a healthy relationship with food & feeling good about your eating IMO. So mark it...

You should be really proud of yourself for staying the course despite the temptation to revert to your old destructive patterns. And a huge step forward to move away from the daily weighing too! Something must be in the air today because it seems like a few of us were peeking down the path of nothin...

Thanks eschano. I took your suggestion and put my energy into my work out but didn't mess with my eating. Felt great! So funny Dandelion. I forgot to fantasize about a reward. Shopping in Italy is definitely a good one. I can smell that Italian leather now! I guess those thoughts will always be appe...

Sounds like a great day. Love the idea of earning a reward by reading books. I'm doing a reward chart this summer & they earn a star for every 20 mins they play without fighting. When they earn a certain amount if stars they get to choose a fun place to go--mini golf, dinosaur museum etc. maybe I'll...

I agree with auto! It's important to not try to have a green day on S days but if it just works out that way than that's great. I guess the important part is really whatever you do on S days, you can't have a red day. We need a couple no- fail days to make the N days easier or at least that's the id...
