Yeah ironchef, I don't know. It's hard for me to be objective about my sister. She just seems to live by so many shoulds & I've spent a lot of my life questioning life's shoulds. Everything she does seems very calculated. In jr high school she very methodically went on a quest to be popular. She ach...

So what kind of fillings have you been making for them?

The 12k sounds like a great idea iron! I've thinking about signing up for the three day cancer walk at some point.

When I used to be on strict diets alcohol would definitely spur me to go astray but now I just have another drink. Okay maybe that's not the best solution either!

Wow you have a lot going on right now! I hope you can make a decision that will be best for you in the long-term. That is awesome what your son said to you about reading. A couple of days of not reading is not going to cause any harm. You are a wonderful mom and it's okay to to take care of yourself.

Really hope you recovery fully soon!

Auto, you are the sweetest. Thank you so much. Your post really lifted my spirits. :D My sister and I were together alone way too much and I feel like she tried to be my mom (still tries?). Might be helpful to have a very basic rotating two or three week menu plan. Even simple meals like hot dogs, chips & fruit or pasta, bread & packaged salad will be more satisfying then just trying to scrounge. A plan will make shopping easier & maybe your daughter would enjoy helping in the kitchen....
