Yes, I have had that happen a lot! I've found that overeating (not sure that's what you meant) for me leads to more overeating. I think in my case it might be at least partially explained by the blood sugar swings that result from this type of eating. Plain, simple eating seems to quell most of my h...

It was the bite, for sure. When I was in my 20's, I had an amazing rescue aussie/border collie (we aren't sure which he was or if he was a mix). Along with his amazingness, he was unpredictable with other dogs and even with people. He nipped people multiple throughout his life, and near the end, I h...

Sunday, January 19 Today was insane. Last night HappyHerder bit Flowerpup when the pup ran over to his bowl while he was eating. My typical anxiety roared back: I threw up all my dinner and couldn't sleep. Today I spent all day trying to quell the anxiety - not much appetite. Against Sexy's wishes,...

Thank you Soprano, Alene, and $$! I was pondering my reaction to the puppy situation and realized that a few things stand out. I think it makes a lot of sense to be conscious of those choices, as you mentioned. However, I really encourage you to not put a lot of pressure on yourself to eat "healthy". Rather, if you do have a bit more energy on a given day, just focus on eating a delicious meal. That is sustainable, and then...

Alene - what a huge victory on putting the snacks back! I was subconsciously looking for a way to get a quick dopamine hit. Even...

I've really become a fan of (1oz) of nuts as a snack or part of a meal. They really fill me up and they taste so good. Best of all, my blood sugar barely budges!
And husband/wife chefs either one is excellent in my book.
