So you are Ari's Check-in but your username is Losingthediets, yes? Sometimes I get mixed up and I'm not sure whose thread I'm commenting on, lol.

So are you saying that the diet coke is amping you up at work too much? Maybe you could switch to Sprite Zero? :-)

Oh, thank you so much for sharing your experiences and thoughts, Sharon! I really appreciate it! I definitely also experience trigger foods as certain combos of delicious ingredients, and processed ingredients do it the worst (sort of with the theory of highly palatable foods being the ones we eat w...

If you get to the gym and you don't feel like exercising, just sit in the hot tub.

Oolala - yes, we shall hope that such a cerebral problem-solver as myself can come up with some better solutions for dealing with my anger and boredom, yes? :P Ladybird - your description of the interactions with people that you enjoy pretty much matches mine exactly. Maybe that's why I get all so e...

We mean eyeballing it for virtual plating -- approximate. That's why it's not a good thing to do on a regular basis; we humans are masters of self-deception. :-)

Sounds like a yummy dinner -- happy S Days to you too.

You're going to be a Sledgehammer girl! Nice! And you run EVERY day? 4-5 miles? More on Saturday?! I am in awe! I feel like "all that" when I get out and walk/jog for 30 minutes in the morning. I guess it's all relative.. I will put in a plug for GMB - they have a program called Integral Stren...

Liking the books, Linda. :-) And I have joined a new forum called Moderation Management. I also just shelled out $34 for an app called "Drinker's Check-Up". I may also separate drinking out into its own category of tracking this year. Saturday, Jan 5 S Day 126.8 Fasting Blood Glucose: 89 Morning Blo...

Speaking from experience, you TOTALLY can change. It was years before my weekends were not "grazing" and my desire to come to the table ready for a nice meal won out over the desire for instant gratification of permasnacking. Then, without truly even noticing, this year I realized I don't even have ...

I am so frustrated for you! Not sure what is going on, other than perhaps you are already at a healthy weight? Or something is sticky with your metabolism, and it is being a stubborn son-of-a-gun?

Glad though that your fam is tight, you know? That counts for (almost) everything.

"insurmountable". :-) I agree with Octavia - I assumed you were Native Brit living in Poland. Especially with a name like Imogen! But then you would talk about how much family lives near you and I'd wonder if you're actually Polish. In either case, there's no doubt you have quite the noggin'. ...

I agree! It gets easier! In order of (for me) No Snacks (I can't imagine a life of snacking anymore); No Sweets; and No Seconds. The NoSeconds has always been the trickiest one for me and is not as black & white, so I find it harder to internalize.

Also, is a chocolate fountain what it sounds like? People actually put their cups in liquid chocolate and then drink it?
