ELW, At the grandpa's BD party, you could have declared that an S Day or even an S event. It's reasonable to take a couple "non-weekend S Days" each month. That way you don't have to take a red day and start to normalize it. I think that's a slippery slope.

Have fun!

Don't try to compensate for a bad eating day. That's not a good long-term success plan. Just mark it and move on. Furthermore, you can't fail on an S Day. Try to save up your habit-forming energy for N Days and not scrutinize or try to control your S Days.

Jill,
Sounds like my in-laws (simple food, moderate and routine eating). I have found that NoS works GREAT when I'm with them! We eat good meals, I enjoy them. Just have your planned phrases for when you are offered seconds and/or sweets. :) I think you'll do great!

Hi Linda! My, I can really relate to your fears and discouragements! NoS is so different than anything else most of us have ever tried that it constantly bumps up against the Western "Get it done now!" ideal. I was with a sister-in-law this week and she is beautiful and works out and eats healthy. I...

Thanks Linda and eschano. Linda, I might have been content (I think) to just let my body be where it wants to be with me eating 3 square meals a day. :) But I have to 'fess up that seeing other women my height wanting to be much lower than I weigh/already maintaining lower has affected me. Now it's ...

That could actually come in handy for me during summer vacation.
