Hi ironchef,
I also would like to add '14 minutes' to my exercise routine, but I just can't seem to find a simple, sustainable, unobtrusive way to fit it in to my busy days. I'll be watching your progress with interest! :)

Linda, jw, and Snapdragon: your posts were exactly the encouragement and support I needed. I saw a friend yesterday and yammered her ear off about my tough week. She is a loyal friend, but we are not especially close---so I felt bad about it later, then realized that apart from this forum, I haven't...

Friday, Week 28 S Day (special NWS Day) I couldn't sleep, had so much on my mind. Finally I just went in to work at 5:30am so I could pound through my To-Do list. By the time I came home at 1, I had decided to make it an impromptu S Day. I wanted to do something fun with my family. I really needed t...

I think Linda is right on. It's like the goal becomes the streak of ____ days or something, when really we are in this for the L........O..........N...........G haul. Shades of gray, isn't that a sexy book that's out these days? I do think a red/green day is subjective. As I reflect on my mont...

Wow, Linda, that is a lot of parental stuff and kid stuff all rolled into one. I totally relate! My husband had the "healthier" upbringing and so I often defer to him in moments of high tension with the kids. Sounds like you and your husband were drawn closer through this challenge, and that is awes...

Hi Linda. I think this is really interesting! You know how you've been trying so hard to connect/be patient, etc., with your kids? I have found that after I do that for awhile, inevitably somebody pushes too hard, takes a little too much for granted, loses a little respect, and bam! I have to come d...

Hi Pipina, Sounds like a great month! Wow! I .... sort of ... instituted glass ceiling about 6 months ago, but I wasn't really keeping track of it. I noticed that my drinking moderated on its own as my eating moderated. I now have a "stop" button in my head at 2 drinks, and I think glass ceiling is ...

They have some type of that at Costco that doesn't have any calories. I suspect it has artificial sweetener in it, so I'd consider it like Diet soda. But there are probably other types of vitamin water out there besides what I've seen at Costco.

Hi snapdragon, we have spaghetti almost every Monday night. At first, I would PILE my plate with spaghetti and bread, because I also love pasta and had trouble moderating it. But it's moderated itself over the months. So I recommend a giant pile of pasta on your plate so big that everyone laughs alo...

Tessy, some days I walk SO slowly. I have to laugh. But I've learned to just go with it. Some days I feel like going fast, and that's fine too. :) It actually gives me insight into my overall energy level and state of being to watch how my feet decide to move each day. So, if you need to swim slow, ...

Loved your post about being happy with your weight even if you don't lose more. We, I think, are exactly the same height and weight today. :) And I agree.
