Day 5 - Friday I wish I knew why making 5 green days was not very difficult this week, but the previous few weeks I had trouble having 2 green days in a row?!! This week I had slightly less stress, as my car was not giving me fits, but I also am busy trying to get ready for my move on Sunday. Today ...

Looks like you're doing pretty well. And you've learned a food that you won't be tempted by again. :) (Next time a someone gives you a treat like that, you could say thanks, then put it away to take home and save for the S days.)

Day 3 - Wednesday I took some Nyquil last night and drank some sleepytime tea - and managed to get nearly 7 hours of pretty restful sleep. I felt much better, but still not 100%. Today I defrosted my freezer. I'd read that it should only take 4 or 5 hours tops. At the 5 hour mark mine was still pret...

Day 2 - Tuesday I am really not feeling good today. Two nights of little sleep probably is not helping any. I am debating whether or not I am going to continue with the sparkpeople challenge. I've tried this before - not weighing weekly (officially at least) and it didn't work too well. But .. this ...

Buttercreampillow, :) I've lived in McAllen, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Cleburne and in Dallas - but have only been in Texas for about 12 years, so some don't consider me a Texan just yet. :D (Before that I lived in Tennesee, Iowa, Wisconsion, Minnesota, New Mexico, California, and New Jersey.) Thanks...

If I didn't have to get up to go to work in the morning .... getting up and going would be really difficult. I'm a definite night owl who's been forced into being a morning person 5 days a week. Good luck with changing your sleep pattterns. Maybe instead of shooting for 7 am straight away, start mor...

That sounds like a good emergency food to have - something you don't *really* like, but know that it is something you can have if the need arises.

It must be this time of year. :) I was looking at various soup recipes yesterday - split pea and lentil (vegetarian versions) being two of them. :D

I think I'm somewhere between chapter 2 and 3. I know it's my fault when I fall in the hole, but its taking a long time to get back out of it.

No excuses or reasonings. I have been off track completely the past two days. Being stressed out by the continuing saga of my car and impending move is NOT a reason to let myself totally derail the good habits I'd started to form.

Tomorrow WILL be a green day.

Here's a question for anyone who reads this: when I ate my breakfast of cereal, applesauce, yogurt, and toast with peanut butter, I felt full, but I barely felt full. I probably could have eaten a small portion of something else to help me feel more satisfied, but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions...

Happy birthday!

Great job on the 5k run too. The time doesn't matter so much as the fact of just getting up and out there. That is more than most people do. (At least that is what I tell myself when I cross the finish line at 44min+.) :D

Thanks Harmony. I've never really been one to be very tempted by the sample goodies in Sam's or Costco. First of all, most of them are meat, and I am a vegetarian. Second of all, I prefer to read what all is in the food first. Exceptions are made for chocolate - especially if it also involves cheese...

I have been at my mom's house since Friday. My car is still in the shop. I appreciate very much her letting me stay so I'm not stranded, but it's been hard to not react to her judginess. Yesterday we went to Costco after having eaten lunch. I was full. Throughout the store anywhere there were free s...

I was happy to be as close I was at any rate. Ended up being the best part of my day. When I went to my car to go to...

Yep, running barefoot. :) I could say I like to be different .... :) But the real reason is that I had started training for a half-marathon and the mileage was just going too fast for me, and some old injuries were acting up. So I started doing some research on running techiques that helped you not ...

Wednesday Today is normally an entire day off work, but I was asked to work an extra shift this afternoon. Since we have Monday off next week, and I'll be losing 9 hours pay, I was happy to take the extra shift. So for a late breakfast this morning I had 3 waffles with PB&J (sugar free). I was hung...

KCCC,

Your 5k time is faster than mine. :) My fastest time ever was 42:37. The last one I ran on July 4 was over 44 min. (I'd been on a bit of a running hiatus.)

I'm now learning how to run barefoot and hope to be ready for a bf 5k by November's Turkey Trot. :D
