? regarding the 21 day ?

If I have a red day, does that mean I start my 21 day count over again? Or is it a judgement call?

Also, if I have a milk shake with my meal, does that count as a sweet or dessert? And therefore another red day if it wasn't on the weekend?

I agree with you on a couple of things here Lilly. One being know your audience, and two about running. I love to run, but my foot doctor told me my hips and joints are so out of alignment that I should probably never run...and if I insist on doing it, then I should take the longest slowest build up...

Ok, now I KNOW I'm weird.....

and I'm ok with that.... No really, is it just me or is it kind of enjoyable in a weird, freaky way...to actually feel hungry? I'm hungry right now, but dinner isn't going to be on the table until about 6:30 or so...another 2 hours. And yet I'm enjoying the feeling. There is no panic...OMG I f...

Haven't finsihed the book yet, but did read some before going to sleep last night. It sooooooo makes simple sense. I love the line about "if you have 50lbs to lose you have no business worrying about antioxidants" Had a good breakfast and a good but simple lunch. Looking forward to dinner too....

I really like the sounds of this ....MOVING WITH PURPOSE! I hate exercise...except walking which is the best thing anyway....but if I'm moving with purpose, i.e doing chores indoors or out, walking to some particular destination, walking my dog (when I had him...R.I.P. The idea of No S-ing is no SWEETS, not no sugar. If you are eating these with your cereal, I would continue to do so, if you want to cut down the amount you eat with your cereal that's up to you. Now if you were eating cupcakes with your cereal, not only would that be NOT following the No S plan, bu...

You could have a point there wosnes! I have been on some diets, like WW twice and a few others but most of them I have dismissed as not making sense, or not sustainable over the long term, or obviously unhealthy. Perhaps that is why I refuse to use the word 'diet' when talking about No S-ing. This i...

I've been reading all the posts on this topic...interesting and sometimes funny reading :) I wonder though, Am I the only one not worrying about S days? I'm following the cover of the book guidelines, and Keeping It Simple Sweetie. I don't snack, have sweets or 2nds on N-days, and on S-days, I will ...

That's absolutely wonderful to hear Anna. :) I like that you are focused on having fun and eating healthy with your family. The weight will take care of itself. I'm only on day 4 of No S-ing, but I must say it's wonderful and liberating so far. Already I've relaxed because I don't have to worry or t...

I must say here that I don't think the Blood Type diet is total bunk! I am blood type O....and I have learned that eating meat IS a good thing for me. My body is sensitive to carbs and sugar. Now that could be because of my blood type or it could just be 'me' or maybe it's a bit of both. My point is...

end of day 3

So had breakfast, lunch, hard boiled egg for a snack late afternoon, supper, dessert! That's it. Got the paperwork done I needed to do, Yay for me! I feel so much better when things are organized. Found an interesting article in First magazine, about interval and strength training combined with walk...

This is a great post and certainly timely with all the newbies, myself being one of them. That is one thing I noticed when I read the woman's world article, and more importantly checked out the website; is that there are no outrageous claims as to how much weight you can and should lose. I like that...

Day 2 finished, day 3 begins

So it's 10am sunday morning, the beginning of day 3 and my 2nd S day. I just got up, haven't slept this late in I don't know how long. Obviously I needed it. Yesterday (day 2) was a fine day. Ate one snack (tiny...literally one bite) when I felt I needed it. And another snack late afternoon again wh...

You need WAY more protein in your day Jazzy's mom! You are not getting near enough, no wonder your body is crying out for food at night. Yes, a little (tini tiny little) bit of it might have to do with the 'habit' of eating something sweet before you go to bed. But I'd be willing to bet if you eat a...

I agree....

I agree with wosnes, that 'managing' S-days might be a bad idea, at least for some, most likely for me :) If I fall into the habit of over monitoring and managing my S-days and even to some extent the N-days, then it will feel like a 'diet' and too much work, and deprivation. Then I will fall off th...

interesting discussion/memories

This has been a really interesting read. I was born in 1963, so I remember having Sunday dinners with a roast, together as a family. Then we watched Wild Kingdom and Walt Disney World afterward, again as a family. That is most likely when we would have dessert. But my Mom went back to work when I wa...

day 2

Last night at dinner was good....avoided the temptation of others having dessert, whew! So, today I start with breakfast, which I usually eat especially if I'm cooking for more then just me. I seem to not bother when it's just me a lot. That is one area in which I will focus on improving. And today ...

OrganicGal's Daily posts :)

Well, I just read about the No S-ing diet in a woman's magazine I buy regularly and it seems to have struck a cord with me and make sense. So I'm going to give it a try, see if changing my habits to this format will work for me. I'm not going to post my starting weight, as weight is only a side issu...
