I work for a Japanese company so we are always having terms like these thrown at us. I never thought about it in terms of my life before but Kaizen is a very effective system for many aspects of life.

My standard lunch is a sandwich with a protein filling (egg, cheese, left over dinner meat, cold meat), fruit, 2 veggies - chunk of cucumber / carrot / celery / pepper / tomato.

This gives me 2 veggies and a fruit for lunch and the combination fills me till dinner.

This is the marvel of No S - Any food goes and you can enjoy it provided you don't have seconds and or sweets there is no guilt.

Most days I have a sandwich (various types of bread and various protein fillings), 2 veggies (usually a tomato, a chunk of cucumber), a piece of fruit.

I think your idea to tighten up your N days is great and you will feel even better for eating healthier food. I also agree with the upping the intensity of your exercise.

However, I would recommend against tightening your S days too much. You need the relative freedom to make the N days work.
