Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US.

We also had a completely homemade dinner. Best yet for me, my daughter cooked it all. I took some crescent rolls.

I'll be having a secondary dinner on Saturday. Sunday I'll be making Thanksgiving Eggs. I've made these previously and they're delicious!

I agree that hunger is NOT an emergency. If you're not vegan, you can include dairy products and eggs for more protein. Fat is also essential in keeping hunger at bay. Don't fear fat. For me, fat is at least equally as important as protein in staving off hunger. I'm not a huge fan of oats as a break...

I'm not sure there's any scientific validity to the idea that you need more protein. Most of us already eat more protein than we need. In the past, people worked strenuously all day and they didn't consume extra protein.

Re: A thought

When was the last time you were this magical goal weight? A couple of months ago? A year? A couple of years? More? My guess is that you didn't put it on overnight. Why would you expect to lose it any more quickly? I know I'd gained nearly seventy pounds in the last 14 years. That's about five pound...

It's safe to say that nearly everyone has gone overboard on sweet (or salty) snacks on S days initially -- and many still do. Don't worry about the S days. Concentrate on building the N day habits.

Re: New here...fears! Help please

Hi, I just found out about this diet, and it sounds very doable long term. My biggest fear is that I'm currently doing Trim Healthy Mama, and have been sticking to it for 10 days now (pathetic I know, but that's excellent for me) and I'm hitting new low numbers on the scale. I have about 20-25 lbs ...
