Re: Haley's daily check in

I totally use the "limited time" motto. Usually I set a timer for 15 minutes, put on my headphones and a podcast (nutrition science, nearly always!), and then I ENJOY my time picking up dog poop, cleaning a litter box, breaking down recycle boxes, or cleaning toilets! :-) I've been reading some book...

It is so amazing how one good habit can bring others on-board, and how one bad habit can do the same!! Good luck finding that keystone habit that helps you find that balance that you crave! it's all about experimentation and being gentle with yourself when something doesn't work for you.

Hi Pinkie - so sorry to hear about your dad's wife. That sounds just terrible, frustrating, and painful.... I really hope they find a solution, for health's sake of course but also for the mental health of both of them.

LOL Pinkie, sorry.... I do that sometimes (on accident, I promise!) I had my MIL listen to a podcast that I thought was super down-to-earth and very accessible, and she was like "was that lady speaking English?" I always feel bad when that happens, sorry. But to answer your question, the take-home f...

Hi Pinkie! I buy rotisserie pieces at the store.  But my MIL makes the best baked chicken thighs. She claims that using a wrought-iron pan is her trick. So proud of you for creatively thinking of places you can cut back. Personally, I do not help my kids with schoolwork, which eases my load. I feel that their education is one of the remaining loci of control in a western child's life (and barely that, actually). If they fail, they still have a soft ...

Whos, yes 1 VERY small piece! I've been pondering it since and I think that especially because it was essentially pure carbohydrate - either sugars or flours - that was the worst possible reaction I can have from a food. The worst part is I ate it because I was in a very small group of girls...

Octavia, How could I have forgotten about Eckhart for this outing? The outing was actually fun, and I'm very glad I carpooled with one of the girls, because she ended up with vertigo and couldn't drive herself safely. The only really bad thing was that I had that (small!) piece of cake and skyrocket...
