That's a good idea to post more often on N days! I'll be posting more often too! I imagine it's very easy to stay on track, when you're traveling for work. I don't think I would want to venture out of my hotel room just to buy sweets, either.

Ironchef, Thanks! Your experiences really resonated with me. I think the reason I've been so resistant to commiting to one of these diets (Whole 30, low carb high fat, etc...) is I want to enjoy my food. I don't think there is anything wrong with you having your S Days from Friday night through Sunday afternoon. As for dairy, I try to avoid it, because one of my symptoms after I consume it is nasal congestion. The fasting idea sounds intriguing.

Hi! Sorry to hear about your back. :( I hope you can find some relief soon. Your eating plan looks good. I think factoring in the things you can or can't live without is important.
Take care!

I'm still here. I'm just in a real rut with my eating right now, especially with lunches. :( I feel like I eat the same few things all of the time, and I am not a sandwich person. Also, I'm still feeling discouraged about weight loss. I still want to lose weight, but I'm afraid that in order for tha...

I agree with Sonya. If that doesn't work, have a planned mini meal in between lunch and dinner, and just make your lunch and dinner a little smaller. 8 hours between meals is too long, for most people (I know i can't wait that long between meals!).

Good job on breaking the diet book cycle! :D I used to be obsessed with buying diet books, but I'm done. I have discovered that I don't like some diet book telling me what I can or can't eat. I can decide that for myself. That is definitely one of the most appealing features of No S -- very few rest...

I'm sorry for your DH's loss. That's good that you were able to keep things together, while your DH was gone. I completely agree about making little changes! I think anything you can do towards better health is a good thing.

Thank you, Merry Kat, and Walkerlori! :D The past few days were rough, in terms of eating. DH had dental surgery. Thankfully, he is doing okay, but having to deal with the extra housework, take care of the kids, and deal with my MIL (who lives downstairs, but spent lots of time upstairs the past few...

I hope you don't have an infection. Yikes! As for your breakfasts, I agree with ironchef. Don't be mean to yourself. As for fruit, I actually like having fruit with breakfast. I find it gives me that much more energy. As for milky drinks, that's a tough one. When I have dairy, my throat gets very ph...

Thanks, Imogen! :D Today wasn't too bad of an eating day. I was a little more 'snacky' today, but today was my big follow up appointment for my leg, so I'm not worried about it. It sounds like the procedure I had in September got most of the AVM in my leg, but there is still some left. The doctors g...

I'm still here! I've just been super busy the past few days! I've been doing well with sticking to my 3 plates. I've been a little liberal about what goes on my plates, by allowing myself chips and/or sweets with lunches and dinners, but I can reduce that over time. For now, I'm really working on ke...

So are you back to doing No S? That's great, if you are. If not, I hope you find something that works for you. Vanilla No S definitely has the appeal of the fence of the 3 plates and no sweets during the week, and total freedom on the weekends. Edited to add: Sinnie, I totally know where you're comi...

I guess you have to decide what you really want. I think sticking with 3 meals is very doable for life, regardless of whether you have sweets with a meal. Did you fail because of sweets, snacking, or something else? Do you really need to lose more weight? I'm just throwing some things out there. If ...

I hope you have a great second trimester. I know for my older DS, I was really tired my whole pregnancy. I felt better, once my OB had me take iron. I had a great second trimester with my younger DS, though! :D
