Re: KCCC's 2019 Holiday Check In

Hi, I’ve just read your post about the phases of NoS after starting on Monday and wondered if you are still around. Delighted to see you are! Hope the holidays went well for you.

Re: I've Badly Relapsed Into Binging!

Another great post I found in the archives! Simmstone and oolala- very thought provoking answers. I’ve also never read about the what the hell effect before NoS and I’m sure that is where my binging comes from. I’m so new so who knows if I stay on NoS or not but I’m on Thursday of my first full week...

Re: 2020

I bet it is! I like the suggestion of a piece of fruit but at the moment there would be no space in my stomach right after 🙊. But I am making porridge with fruit for breakfast. My parents are Czech, Croatian and Italian and I grew up in Austria and the UK. When we visit my family in Austria, the Cze...

Re: No S Lessons over 10 years

I just discovered this thread and I actually cried reading it as it seems so far away to be able to lose the binging cycle and get all those non-weight benefits mentioned, to have patience with myself. I love that quote of having to lose overeating and not weight! I’m fat but if I didn’t lose a sing...

Re: Movies

So I’ve actually checked out Z nation thanks to this post and like it! What else is everyone watching now? I just started The Witcher but can’t 100% get into it. I’ll hang in there to see if I get sucked in. And I’m watching the second season of You. Anyone seen Messiah yet? Is it good? I know these...

Re: 2020

Hi, ooh that’s an interesting background iflytoohigh! So I just had the last meal of the day. Even though I struggle with all the periods between meals, having snacked constantly for the last 4 years, I find the period after dinner the hardest. I’m so used to some sweet dessert or something to nibbl...

Haha, yes they are!
How are you finding food rules in the UK? I have Eastern European parents, both naturally slim but neither has managed to teach me the basics haha! Am in the UK too.

Keys to lifestyle change success?

Hi everyone, I was interested in what you believe they keys to a successful lifestyle change are please? I just listened to a podcast of “the Minimalists” and they were talking about thinking about what you can add/substitute concentrating on, such as instead of thinking: oh I can’t eat between meal...

Re: 2020

Thank you! I hope just a short term bug. I cannot remember ever having a stomach bug since being a teenager until I had my kids that is. Now I seem to have them 4-5 times a year. But like you say, they tend to be short bursts. I am ready for bed so I made day 2, although my dinner portion was ridicu...

Re: 2020

Thank you whoseonfirst, ladybird and J! Funnily, the whole family (there is four of us, two adults and two preschoolers) came down with something and I was sick after dinner last night 🤦‍♀️. I know sick days are exceptions BUT there is always someone sick here and frankly if I can’t stick to three m...

2020

Hi, I’m a bit early for 2020 but I thought I’d better start this thing before the motivation goes away. I really let myself go the last few years. I have a thousand legitimate and less legitimate reasons why but there is no way around the fact. Really hoping that this will work for me. It’s day one ...
