Thank you chani!! You are too sweet!

I felt this way too when we first moved to Az. I guess I thought it'd be different since we just moved across town. You're right I need to be gentle with myself.

Thanks for stopping by my thread.

Oh I love it! Actually scottsdale is the place to be if you're Jewish. I was raised by my Irish catholic mom who married a Jewish man so we celebrated everything. I married a Jewish guy and my sister married an Irish catholic one so I guess we split the difference. ;) Sounds like you have the perfec...

Ok if you've already got the exercise down then that's great!

Very cool about Az--what part? I guess you probably know there aren't many Jewish people here. Our family is apart of the tiny Jewish population here! :)

Hi clarebear! Glad the weighing didn't freak you out too much. I'm still too afraid to get on the scale. It doesn't sound like you have much weight to lose, if any, so it will probably come off quite slowly. The important thing if you've found peace with you're eating. Remember that beauty comes in ...

Just wanted to say a belated welcome! Sounds like things are going well. You might not want to worry too much about exercise till you get your eating habit down. I found it much easier to wait a few months.

Anyway keep up the good work!

Thank you guys so much for the support!! Auto: I'm hoping it's just a little glitch. I'm susceptible to depression and it seems to happen when several difficult situations converge at once. It also seems to happen more often when I'm not overeating. It's such a weird thing. Not just like feeling a l...

No worries JW! That probably would have been my first reaction too! It's great that you're getting bored with NoS. It means food is falling in its rightful place. I just wanted everyday to feel as good as my N days. I knew I couldn't do without any treats or exceptions ever and figured I was respons...

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Eating because you were hungry is very different than eating out of boredom or stress. The fact that you just added another meal instead of nonstop snacking shows how much the meal habit is ingrained in you.

Have a great weekend!

I always check in with my appetite asking myself what am I in the mood for and if I switch something up all the better because if I force myself to eat what I really would have rather not, it would lead to rebellion I definitely agree with this. That's the only part of intuitive eating I kept. I al...

Welcome back clarebear! So glad you had a fun time!

I think your S day plan sounds fine. If it starts to feel too restrictive, you can always revise it. Can't fail S days so doesn't hurt to experiment.

Love that idea JW. I reached out today to some friends in the area that we've lost touch with and they're coming over for dinner soon. Really a larger part of binging I think comes from diets that are too restrictive. There's an almost impossible to ignore biological drive that comes with those kinds of diets. Here's an interesting study that you're probably already aware of: http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/2008/02/how-weve-cam...
