April has been a very up and down month and I can see that in my weight - I gained this month, which is not surprising when I consider I had 11 exempt days and 8 failed days (all failures due to snacking). Feb 09

February was another wonderful No S month which went smoothly. I had 2 NWS days when I was at home with a sick 4 year old and that was just the way things happened. A couple of my weekends were a bit 'idiotic' but I doubt I will indulge in those foods to that degree again as I felt YUCK! All in all ...

I am going to miss your wonderful and kind posts.

I pray that your troubles will be eased and you will find the solutions you need. Use the No S as your sane starting point (even if you are not posting) and that will be one less stress in your life.

Another good week - and I made the 21 Day Club which feels FANTASTIC. 4 perfect days and one day with an S Event for my In-laws 43 wedding anniversary (peaches & custard). After a full month (which ahd a few extra exempt days and a failure due to New Years celebrations) of No S I am down 2.3kg (5lb)...

Debs I applaud you for looking for healthier options, but don't try and change everything at once. All your ideas sound really sensible and worth while, but I would concentrate on one issue at a time for 21 days and then add the next one. Trying to change to much at one time can become over whelming...

I have done the weight in (I know, I know!). I actually lost weight during my no S week and (of course) gained it back over my crazy weekend. I now worry that I will ALWAYS eat to much on my plates and I will ALWAYS eat to much on weekends and will only maintain my weight...oh and I worry that I wi...

Hey Mama-g

We are in Gauteng (in an area right next to the airport).

My folks are from the UK, but I am a born and bred South African and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Africa is in my blood.

How long did it take you to settle and adjust to the US?

Have a great N Day

MerryKat's 21 Days

Congratulations to all the 21 Day Club. I reached my 21 days (this time round) on Sunday. It is a very satisfying feeling and it was surprisingly easy. I had 1 day when I caught myself picking as I was making dinner and I stopped that in its tracks, but other wise 21 day on plan. I am setting myself...

Another good week under my belt. I had 4 100% days with no problem. Friday was a NWS as it was our pastor's 50th birthday party. But it was not the whole day, just dessert after dinner which was fruit salad and ice-cream. I was so pleased with me as in the past I would have munched all day and had s...

My grandfather used to knit.

Perhaps doing a tapestry or rug making - my father did both.

My hubby is into trains and paints the figures by hand sitting infront of the TV.

Watching TV for me is a terrible trigger, so now I keep a basket of crocheting next to my chair and as I sit down I pick up what ever project I have going. No eating and I have something to show for my TV time.

I have worked out that most times I have restarted No S I have made it part of a group of things I have to do to have a successful day (No S plus exercise plus water). While all of these extras are great, they tend to distract me from No S and when I slip with one of them my No S slips as well. So I...

Last week went well: Monday was a huge relief to be back to N days as the weekend had been an excess (but nowhere nearly as bad as pre No S) of snacking sweets. Welcome Wattgirl

CONGATULATIONS on the weight already lost.

I would suggest you follow Vanilla No S (ie. No S as written in the book) with no tweaking for 21 days. This really helps set the habits and makes it easier to know whether you really need to tweak it or not.
