Whenever I say "I was thinking" in front of my Dad he says "see there you go again, that's the problem". That is so true when it comes to dieting! The more it's on the mind, the closer it gets to the mouth. Out of sight - out of mind is true for me. I always have problems with potato chips. Whenever...

I'd get a smaller plate for lunch just to try it. I now eat on the smaller corelle plates for mostly all meals. "Normal" plates seem to big for me now. I switched over our family of 6 with no problem and I have 3 teens! The "normal" plates are on the top shelf if they want it, but usually don't. I a...

Quotes I heard while driving. Authors unknown, I barely could remember what was said  :

If you keep doing what you're doing, you're going to keep getting what you're getting.

If you don't make a concious commitment to the important, you're making an unconcious commitment to the unimportant.

Can you think of a time in your life when you felt you were eating rather reasonably but without a lot of effort? Ummm... when I was 4? No, honestly, Good question. I think my life has been on and off control. Either I've felt in control for a long time or out of control. I tend to be tempted more ...

There are many "regulars". I think women just like to chat. Maybe they all just lost their weight and never came back. Bluebunny lost 90 and doesn't visit much. Look around on here, you'll find them. I suggest posting this under "general discussion" so it's seen better.

I drink all day. I take a 4 cup waterbottle full of ice and water with just a splash of unsweetened cranberry juice or orange juice. Too sweet and it's not as good. There is a thread here somewhere called orange2 O or something like. When I do this I don't get hungry.

Paula Deen says in an interview that she lost 30 pounds eating what she likes but in moderation and allowing one day a week to eat whatever she wants. Hmmm... sounds familiar.

Shooting for normal sane vanilla... maybe...
