I did well until about 8:00 PM, as I sat and watched Mar de Plastico on Netflix, I started shoveling huckleberry ice cream into my pie hole. Then a Twinkie sounded good. So, I ate two of those....

Welcome Silk001, As if being a Mom to three kids isn't already enough, try to layer on a simple activity to boost your metabolism which gives a jump start to weight loss. Walking is my favorite, because it only requires sneakers or walking shoes, no gym memberships or special training. Good luck rea...

I didn't think anyone doubted me, it's more that I doubt technology :D I bought the black rice in a health food shop and roasted the cauliflower myself, it doesn't need much oil, and is so much tastier than boiling or steaming cauliflower. 4/28-Fri SUCCESS ( 18/20 green so far in April) Ate a rather large crabcake for dinner last evening so I wasn't tempted to snack. Didn't get a regular walk or exercise session in, but after cutting my grass, I spread weed-n-feed over my yard pushing a rotary spreader. So I counted it as a walk on my...

Just logging in to keep me honest and on track. Wow! The last couple of weeks have been hectic. We have moved out and have the house listed. It has shown well, but no buyers yet. But every day, it means a run by to check on things and also to pick up a few more items that we need. And then there is...

Thanks oolala. Now I'm 16 pounds above my ideal weight...lol. Not sure I understand the author's premise; it's based on what people think their ideal weights should be? I guess it makes some sense since my ideal weight in my mind is only 4 lbs. above the calculator. With exception of the time on Atk...

Re: Seth Godin on habits...
From Seth Godin's Blog (: Seems to go well with No S. Who are we seeking to become? We get what we invest in. The time we spend comes back, with interest. If you practice five minutes of new, difficult banjo music every day, you'll become a better banjo player. If you spend a little bit more time e...

May I ask what year that graduation was? My high school year was '71. I went to a small school. I know of only one, but there must be more. But I think about it a lot of times when I read of people dying who are younger than I am... It was 1968. I was 3rd youngest in my class. I think our class siz...

Doesn't that just make your day? Well, I have descended down the scale from France to Madagascar where the obesity rate is under 5%. This is quite fun; a variation on the BMI calculator that shows how your best weight bench for home compares with the rest of your country and the world. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-18770328 Hi I don't think they mean that we're heavier than 100% of the world! Maybe I should cut juice in the future as well? I just realized juice might count as a sweets S. I don't count orange juice with breakfast as an S, it's usually in the 5-6 ounce size. No added sugar. If people can eat a grapefruit with sugar added, I don't see the problem with fresh natural juices ...
