Wishing you luck for getting back on the N day wagon. I'm in the same position as I also took yesterday as an S day, without even having children and their treats around, for me it was just the treat of having a long weekend with my husband. On the plus side, there are now only 4 N days until the ne...

Well done on not having a binge either on or following the jellybeans. There's a great line, possibly coined by Reinhard which goes something like this. If you dented your bumper, you wouldn't go ahead and crash the car into a wall' You dented the bumper but avoided crashing the car, that's great. M...

My own mod is inspired by (by that I mean stolen from) someone else on this board, I can't remember who or I would give them credit. It's simply FAT: Fruit at Any Time, I don't always take advantage of this, there are days I don't need to but it solves the problem of both snacking and sweets in a wa...

Congratulations on the first green week, and also on fitting exercise into your schedule. It must be tough to work in an environment with goodies all around, sounds like you're dealing with it really well.

Hi, I just wanted to stop by and offer my support. You CAN do this, and we're all here and understand how much you want to succeed and we're willing you on. I hope you stick around and continue posting. There's a really great thread, in the 'sticky of stickies' I think it's called over on the genera...

Hi Bluebell, how great that it worked out that you could enjoy your son's birthday meal without guilt (of course you still could have had one plate without guilt on an N day but an S day is definitely better for that) I couldn't help dropping in to say hi when I saw your location. I spend a lot of t...

3squaremeals, that's a really good number in that time frame (looking at your sig), you should be really pleased. I have a similar amount to lose so it's motivational for me. Remember that you are successfully sticking to the diet even when you eat more chocolate than maybe you intended to on an S d...

Thanks for the replies, I definitely needed to muse on this for a minute and posing the question helped me think it over. I've decided to take Monday as an S day because I am off work on that day and so is my husband, so it does feel a bit special. Today however my husband has to work, and my routin...

How could I look at myself in the mirror again knowing I failed myself again. It is not a measurement of yo...

Welcome to No S, I look forward to following your check ins. Easter as S or not?

I find myself wondering what people are doing regarding Easter and S days. It is a holiday, both in the country I'm from and where I live now, but it sort of feels fraudulent to count it as an S day. I love the idea of having 1 or 2 extra S days but honestly I'm not a Christian and I don't celebrate...

My experience answers part of your question I think. I'm currently 174 lbs at 5ft6 so I'm not at goal weight, but I have done a restrictive diet. A few years ago I did 5:2, but I actually did 4:3 for 4 months, so that's having only 500 calories on 3 days a week. I recently tried that again before co...

I hope you managed to see the day through 3squaremeals. Easter can be such a crazy time. A hot cross bun for breakfast sounds lovely, an Easter treat as one of your meals instead of in addition to a meal, I think that's a great plan.

I've been through every variation of this. There was a time in my life when I never weighed myself, then when I finally did, I was about 18 lbs heavier than I had thought I was. About a year ago I was weighing myself up to four times a day, that wasn't every day but probably minimum twice a day. At ...
