I like to drink water, too. More in the summer, less in the winter. I don't drink with meals, however. I don't know why.

The beans came out very well. The best I've made yet, especially as I've figured out the seasoning for taco beans:
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic salt
2 Tablespoons tomato paste

The main flaw is that the Smart Choices program is to show foods that are "better for you", but they don't say better than what. While a bowl of Froot Loops is better than a doughnut for breakfast, neither is as good as a smoothie or oatmeal or egg and cheese sandwich. And even within those options,...

I'm getting better. The bread no longer sticks to the CorningWare (use butter to grease the dish AND coat liberally with corn meal). I also use half the dough to make a loaf instead of a quarter.

This was last night's result.

Processed foods

Disclaimer: One of the great benefits of No S is that no food is off limits. However, those of us who have been on the diet a while have realized that in becoming more intentional about quantity, we are more aware of quality. If you are still working on the quantity aspect, please don't let this thr...

Restaurant food tends to be higher in salt, fat and sugar than their homemade counterparts. Add to that a restaurant plate is usually larger than a home plate and it is VERY easy to overeat.
