Happy birthday! At least they only come once a year. We learn as we go. I usually see an issue like a birthday coming far in advance. I'm learning to plan it in... like maybe "recover" with soup or salad for the next meal or two.

Copied from testimonials... very encouraging: 26 lbs down and still losing ! :) :) After a few false starts (!) I started the No S Plan back in December 2009, after a life time of struggling with binge eating and food/diet anxiety as well as a host of other things including poor body image and self ...

Awesome! Keep it up. Thanks for the details, they give incentive and encouragement to others. My stubborn mind longs for the days that I can say that "I no longer treat my S Days any differently from my N Days." Congratulations!

Oh, sometimes it takes a while to learn things... then we forget them and have to re-learn them again. ug. I like the idea of S events or fail during the week. I tend to abuse declared S days myself.

Well, for the record, this is how my month is going... I've been trying to either call it a success  or fail  since my weekend fails are rediculously bad lately. I'm also still trying to wait and only eat when hungry too. This really helps on the weekends. September 1  2 :mrgree...

Weirdest thing... I've never heard of vertical sleeve surgery before and I Just got done watching a news clip about someone who lost 80 pounds doing that. I'll try to find that link again. I'm not condoning doing it at all, but I also don't believe in coincidents. http://www.mediacomtoday.com/tv/3/p...

I did a rebound from that flu I had. I guess I could have figured I would. It seems every time I get ahead, I get too confident and let down my guard toward temptation. Then I get on a fail-streak. I'm breaking that now. I need to concentrate on vanilla period right now. When I'm strong, I add waiti...

You're doing great! Keep it up! I've recently just started exercising again (I bought a treadmill) and I know how hard it is to get motivated sometimes.
Consider it mandidtory and non-negotiable. 100%.

You can do it! I know you can!

I need popcorn. I tend to save it for a weekend night, dish a heaping helping (or 2) and call it supper. I sometimes eat a small supper prior... But weekends are my big problem, so don't listen to me! Oh, and my grandma ate popcorn for breakfast all of the time, but she ate it like cereal with milk ...

Fresh start! Just do it! I went for over a year, half-way-kinda-not doing this and any other plan that came to mind and gained all of my weight back (26 pounds). In march I turned 45, hit an all-time high, had a depressing physical, and my son told me I was killing myself, all within the same week....

I went to weightwatchers faithfully for over 2 years. I lost 50 pounds, but the biggest thing that I learned is to eat constantly... low point foods all of the time. That is insane! I analized every bite. I thought about food waaaaay too much, but that is part of it all. Thinking about food constant...

Due to the treadmill and these 2 perfect weeks of walking 30 minutes daily, I feel stronger, less tired, and this morning I was actually looking forward to it! I tried to search my feelings for why exactly and there was only a hint of "to-get-it-over-with". Hmmm... I wanted to give it 100% for a mon...

I feel for ya! Our oldest left for college last year and she has always been so dern independant. We agreed ahead of time to talk on the phone one a week. That was hard to do for her I guess. I bought a treadmill and a grill. Hmmm... I've gone from doing pretty much nothing for exercise other than my daily stuff, to 30 minutes of treading every darn day. It sounds like you don't like to be told what to do. I don't either, and NoS seems to be the only one that I can really internalize to make it seem less rule-sy. It's "normal" eating.

Every time I try it (since it seems sensible) it just seems to open the door for more. It keeps the eat-all-the-time mentality going and that is what I really need to break. Experiment ~ do what works.

Thanks!
I've been looking at my first page here on my daily where I post my progress every month and I'm getting scared. I loose through September every year and then gain every winter. I need to break that trend of mine once and for all!
