Thanks all! Reinhard, you are right. If I was on one of the fad diets (and I HAVE been there..) I would be pulling my hair out right now...assuming that I even made it to the one month mark...and then I would be binging until I had undone any progress that I may have made. I love the system of No-S....

Welcome! I have to honestly say that this is the best "diet" around. It is simply training yourself to eat "normally". I have been doing it for about a month, and even though I am still struggling a little in the sweets department, I am no longer overeating at mealtime. Even though I occasionally sl...

I think the only way to do an accurate study on things concerning humans is to study every human on the planet. For example: A certain diet may work for a high percentage of people according to a "study", but how do you know for sure if it is really effective just because it worked for (in reality) ...

Celebrating 1 month!
Hey, it just dawned on me that I have been doing No-S for a month now as of today! Wow, it doesn't seem like it has been that long. I can definately say that even though I am still ironing out the wrinkles, I can't imagine my life without No-S. I was becoming desperate after having exhausted all the...

I had all of my meals with no seconds, but again, i did indulge in goodies. :D I had a mini cherry turnover in Sunday School, chocolate cake with lunch, a few cookies, and some ice cream after dinner. Jan-Tz: Let me know what you think about it! I also put a whole chicken in the crockpot, (after rubbing it with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning) and add a little water and Presto! It is basically inexpensive, and you can do a lot with the chicken. I cook it until it is falling off the bone (that...

Ok, today was a good S-day! All of my meals were one plate only, and I didn't snack between except for once. :) I had two pieces of cake, but I had one with my lunch meal, and one with my dinner. My snack was some Nutter Butter cookies that my 4 yr. old talked me into buying! (ok, so she didn't have...

Hey Deb and others, :D I think I read somewhere that people who are *trying* to lose weight are generally healthier because they are eating better foods (with the idea that they are low calorie) such as more veggies and fruits, lean meats, etc. As opposed to some naturally thin people who eat a lot ...

ok, I definately overdid it on the s-days this week! Between my hubby's birthday, the weekend, and Uncle Sam's birthday, I managed to gain 1 pound. :x It is only due to my own stupidity, NOT the effects of the no-s lifestyle.
