Halloween candy comes straight from Satan. Been a while... I'm detoxing from Halloween, and from the birthday party that preceded it and the dinner out with a friend-who-rarely-visits after... Glad you jumped back in. Okay, the trouble started when I stopped checking in each day. Sound like you've got it down, Dawn. Five pounds in a month... good work! Well the first S week went well. I counted it as a success. I did great with the S events, but I didn't do my 4 meals as I should have. The weekends are not as routine and I have my family here with me all day interupting my p...

I'm probably being overbearing. I have personal reasons for that, but my experience is not yours. Good luck!

The term "beer gut" doesn't come from nowhere. Drinking a lot really isn't good for you. Are you talking about lost weekends, or three drinks out on Friday and Saturday night? If you can't easily stop at three, think more seriously about whether you are developing a habit that you don't want to deve...

There are many people here who have lost weight, some dramatically. I lost 30 pounds, then broke the habit, and gained most of it back. If you can build and keep the habit, you can do very well. I'm back at it now, and in one month have lost about eight pounds. I don't feel deprived, I feel good. I ...

The idea is a reasonable meal at mealtime, then stop eating until the next mealtime. You can have a beverage, just not a sugar-based one. There is a one plate rule, but most of us don't sweat it if we have our veggie-only salad on the side (not all loaded down with croutons and dressing and stuff!)....
