For example, I'm having a meeting with my ladies book club this evening and its the last oneuntil fall. Tomorrow mybrother is visiting, and jujusin case my husband ...

Small victory last night... Went to a little chocolate shop and bought my favorite candy. Dark chocolate caramels with sea salt. Wasn't even tempted to eat them. We got home at 10:00 and I thought about having one. Then I thought, if I eat chocolate this late when I'm not hungry, I will go to bed fe...

Very interesting conversation about the movie oolala and jackn! I've never seen it. I'm guilty of looking at others and saying' why do they keep doing drugs/smoking/drinking, etc' . I keep telling myself that my addiction isn't THAT serious. Even when I see relatives who are diabetic eating a crappy...

I really think its the psychological effect and knowing that if I really want it, I can. I used to really believe in set point. Most of my ...

The benefits of fasting that I've read about and was interested in was resting the pancreas and the digestive system in general. I think you're right about the body wanting to hold onto calories/fat if it senses starvation, but I've read( haha, again who knows if it's accurate) that it takes72 hours...

I did the 16:8 version. I didn't lose more than a few pounds because I ate like pig during my " feeding window". I do like the health benefits of fasting so I'll probably do it occasionally but not for weight loss.
