It depends on what you mean by being "fine." Are there people who year after year eat junk and are thin? Yes. Can some people eat terrible diets and stay healthy decade after decade? Yes. Are many people capable of doing this? Probably not. The issue is not the calorie amounts but what constitutes s...

Sorry for your slip up. You're right-mark it and move on. I had a horrible weekend from overeating. The effects lasted right up until about 10:30 am TODAY, Tuesday, even though I ate no sweets on Monday. I tell you this because by my evening meal tonight, after eating nothing after my brunch today b...

I've had some wild S days. Just this last weekend. Ugh, I won't go into it. BUT, on the good ones, I love having pancakes or waffles with syrup. Another lovely thing is being able to eat the samples (only the ones that look really good) at a grocery store or Costco. What I will continue to enjoy is ...

Just because he was an advocate doesn't mean he actually followed it all the time. And overeating is not officially part of it. Who knows, maybe he had some predisposition that his father didn't have. It's possible the diet extended his life, but we will never know. It won't make me give up on olive...

Not sure what your question is. Your meals sound fine, except that you say you are not sticking to them. You may legitimately need more food than your bowl will accommodate. Just as Reinhard says to use a smaller plate than the regular 11-inch plate of today's dish sets if a person is not losing, yo...

Prapad, what exactly is your mother's criticism of No S? Are family occasions all day eating affairs? Are sweets mandatory? You can eat anything except sweets on N days, just as long as they're eaten at meals, unless you are adding rules. But those are yours, not No S's. I think this is one of the m...

So, have you gotten a 3-week pattern of N days and S days down? It is highly recommended that you not use mods until you do. And make sure you are eating foods (besides sweets) that you really want at your meals on N days. You can always get more strict later.

Good luck!

Eating once a day is not No S. And being hungry ALL the time is not No S.
