I've heard of that cleansing diet, a friend works with an older couple and they swear by it - funny how something so crazy actually works for some people - or maybe they aren't people, maybe they are aliens! Anyway, it is hard to pick the silliest since there have been so many. I can pick the funnie...

Success! Got thru VD without a hitch. Fluke? Who knows? I am not going to over think it. I am just taking day by day, sometimes minute by minute. The thing that keeps me sane is the fact that I am working towards something that will make this easier rather than harder like with the other plans. I un...

Posh, so it's nearly 3 months since you started, are you still no s-ing? I'd like to lose about 20 pounds too. I am 5'9" and weigh around 168. I just started and there are a few things I am worried about but I think if I can get my set in the right direction I will be OK. One thing I worry about is ...

Dawn's check in

Been doing this since Feb 8, 2008. I have been doing very good, a few slips ups so I thought it would be good to start doing a check in. today is VD (Valentine's Day) and there is a two pound box of See's chocolates on the kitchen counter. My son works there and he brought it home last night as a gi...

Hi Linda,

I am just starting out and I know I need to learn patience, but I am dying to know what I might see for myself in around 3 months and I don't just mean weight loss. Is the habit ingrained into you yet? Are you feeling that free from the chains feeling yet?

Ah yes, the M word! That is my BIGGEST problem by far. I only need to lose about 20 pounds and that sounds like nothing compared to some but when you are so close to your ideal weight, every pounds clings on for dear life. My dream of dreams is to wake up one day and be able to love food, eat food, ...

I am a newbie so I don't know how well I will do with but my husband has basically been on the No-S diet his whole life, and he doesn't even know it. That is just the way he eats and his weight is so consistant. If he does pack a bit on around the holidays etc, then he simply cuts back his portions ...

I see lots of great suggestions for you here so I can't really add anything, but I did want to say you are doing the right thing by not giving up and making excuses, but rather looking for a way that works for you. I am sure you'll find it!

Noel, you are only saying what we all are thinking. Some people might say that your brain to mouth filter is a bit off, personally I think you are just honest - refreshingly so.

I do think I like Cab54's approach best, but if that fails, pepper spay is coming out baby!!!

E-333, yeah, just saying no to sweets or snacks does not work. I have a "thing" on Monday so I am doing my 2 S days for Sunday and Monday, yeah I know I am not supposed to do that but it was either that or wait until after Monday to start this and I was just in the right mind set on Friday. So far t...

I think you should give Hubby a break, the poor guy used up his enthusiasm with the many other diets you have been on. History tells these people in our lives that we most likely will fail again, like all the other times. You can't really blame them for losing confidence in us. But at the same time,...

To Elizabeth 333 - No, I don't plan on not taking advantage of the S days (that would be a guaranteed disaster), it's just that in the past I have gone all week doing really well and then the weekend hits and I fall off of the wagon and by Monday I weigh the same as I did the Monday before, and the ...

Hey there fellow Newbie

I just started too - about 5 minutes ago - goin good so far :o Here's my take on willpower - it fades fast so you need a back up plan. I usually have a ton of willpower when I first start off on a plan, but then it fades. But it sounds like with this plan that by the time the actual will power start...

Here I go!

I have considered a plan similar to this for years in my mind. The only thing that has kept me from doing it is that when I have kinda done it, it seems that I undo all my good work that I did all week in the two days that I can go off my plan. I have always known in my heart that this type of a pla...
