Isn't it amazing how much we can learn about ourselves and eating from something so "simple?" I love it! Great first month, I hope your second continues on this track :-). Thank you Merry - yes you are quite right, I am learning about myself! Without meaning to sound over the top, this has the pote...

My first month of No S

I have found this forum so helpful whilst doing my first month of No S so I thought I would write down a few thoughts as we near the end of October. - This is the most straightforward and easy to follow diet I have ever followed. In fact I don't really think of it as a diet, it certainly doesn't fee...

Hi I have been following No S since the beginning of October too. So far it is going very well, I have only had one red day. Can I ask if you have been on many diets before? I am in my 40s and have tried every diet going, have lost weight on all of them only to gain it back and more. I would say my ...

Thank you osoniye. I am so pleased this is working. Early days still for me I know, but I have a feeling that discovering NoS is going to be truly life changng! Halloween is not a huge deal in my town so probably just a normal day for me, and my birthday very conveniently falls on this coming Saturd...

I have just returned to this thread to remind myself of the many wise words written by all of you committed No S-ers. Coming to the end of a very - ahem shall we say - S weekend! - which has followed an equally very No S week - I was beginning to panic a little. And then I read through all your advi...

Wishing you the very best of luck! I am new to NoS and finding it is suiting me very well so far. Slow weight loss but I am doing this to change my relationship with food so I'm prepared for it to take time :)
I am doing the October Challenge and finding it very helpful.

I'm just checking back to report a successful evening! I offered to drive, so couldn't drink, and no-one had a starter which helped me enormously, and when my friends had dessert I had a decaf coffee. I am actually amazed that I have achieved this. Also it was a later dinner than usual for me, I las...

Only 10 days left in October, Challenge Team! Still time left for some impressive streaks. Green Fridays, no matter how hard, make Saturday morning feel great. I shall bear that in mind when I am out having dinner with my friends tonight and trying to stick to one plateful of food with no dessert :D

Hi, I am new to this too, been following No S since the start of October. So far I am doing well, finding it easy to follow, its such a relief to not be counting, weighing or checking all of the time. In fact its taking me a while to realise that I can actually relax around food! I am so used to a l...

Thanks oolala I have been unwell all week and had to take time off work, (very unusual for me) luckily I was still able to stick to my No S days as I didn't have much appetite (even more unusual😂)! And my S days coincided with feeling a bit better, so that worked out well!

Your slip-up was small - well done for stopping. If I feel really 'snacky' on a week-day, I head back to the kettle for another coffee or tea. Better to over-do that, than eat anything. The thing that you 'get' gradually is that it's the habit/rule of not 'eating' between meals that's important (no...

Bunsofaluminium thank you so much for your well considered and positive reply. I needed to hear that actually! Getting on the scales everyday, I had thought was a big no no. Re: Fellow Newbie!

Hi Bluebell... I'm new too! I started No S as of last Friday (31 Sept) and it's going pretty well. The no snacking has been wonderful - to not be crazy about food all day, and to then really enjoy proper meals has been a breath of fresh air. I find the 'no sweets' the challenge, and have ended up h...

A little support in the early days please!

Hi all I am new to this (I have a newbie thread with some lovely welcome messages) and I think I need a bit of a talking to from some more experienced No - Sers! Firstly, I am committed to this, I think it might just help me sort out my poor relationship with food once and for all. However I have so...

Welcome! Realize that it may take some of the same will to keep to the habits as it did to stick to a diet when old urges crop up, but at least you have great meals to look back on and forward to! That saved me SO many times. (I recommend staying away from the scale for several weeks at least.) Tha...
