GND - I believe you will :) Grammy - no one in my house likes parsnips, either. I make them for me :) I've been cutting back on my computer time, and one of the things I've decided to do is do weekly updates with maybe a random visit here or there during the week - as long as it doesn't get too freq...

I wouldn't worry about such little things as a few strands of pasta while cooking, cough drops or crisps at lunch. It's often better to make changes more slowly - and three meals a day with no snacks is such a big one for many people, it's enough all by itself without worrying about micromanaging th...

Ah..that inner brat. I think I have, in addition to an inner brat, an inner skeptic? Loser? Pessimist?. Not sure what to call her - but she's the one that says 'it won't matter if you eat this - it's not like you're going to lose weight anyway' I have more trouble with her than the brat. Thankfully ...

I'm with Kevin :). I don't like 'exercise'. But I love 'doing stuff' - using natural body movements and a range of activities :) So that's what I do. It's so great that you got all that stuff and were able to set it aside for the weekend. Isn't it amazing that *not* eating something could be so much...

I prefer vegetables to fruit, especially in winter, but even I miss them sometimes. I just make them part of my meal.

My favourite version is Indian. I don't now how authentic it is, since I've never been to India, but I get this often from our local Indian restaurant:

Monday, Monday. I probably didn't eat enough for breakfast and lunch. I'm hungry, but I'll survive and dinner will just be extra good tonight - whatever it is

LOL Grammy G! I was sitting here reading what you two have written, and it's so familiar to me. Staying Vanilla is so much easier for me, especially now that the structure is finally starting to become a habit. I love that I don't have to think about it all the time. I'm with you on the little S eve...

I had to look up that Danish town last night. I've heard of it, but didn't know much about it. It looks very interesting. We went to Denmark a few years ago, but that's not going to happen again for a while..if ever.

Oh, yeah :) I did want to clarify one thing. When I said I was having the kind of S day I was hoping for - it wasn't that I was hoping I would not eat sugar or junk or anything like that on an S day. What I has hoping for was to lose that feeling that I 'must' eat snacks/sweets/seconds on S days sim...

It's 8.30 pm on Saturday and I realised I've been having the S Day I have been hoping for! We had croissants for breakfast - no biggie. We have those often. They're fairly large, so I only ate half. Lunchtime we were out shopping, etc, and after all that burger and fries talk, I wanted a bacon burge...

Not yesterday apparently. I think it was a combination of things. I was sick on Monday and it's left me coughing day and night. Which also means I haven't slept well in days. Yesterday I got home from work worn out and desperate for something that might help the coughing. I tried a cough drop, and a...

I often think of writing down my thoughts like you did - but never get around to it before I change my mind :). Maybe I should.

So you'll be posting less? I'm cutting back on my posting. If it helps, great - if I start wandering..I'll post more.

I am so glad that such places exist and there are people who do this kind of work. Two months ago we got a flame point siamese from a shelter. He is the best cat I've ever had. He's so much fun, and so loving. He runs to the door when we get home. I hate to think what would have happened to him had ...

I wouldn't be surprise, Starla. I have been eating 'real' food for so long - haven't even used a microwave in at least 7 years that all that stuff tastes nasty to me. :)

It felt like a day of celebration for me. My 21st day, a missing paycheck arrived and my husband and I both had the day off. Not to mention the weather was fabulous.

Back to work tomorrow - and on to day 22.

Thanks all for your support!

Back to the buttermilk...

I make fil mjolk, which is similar to yogurt, though less tart, and it cultures at room temperature. I use it in place of buttermilk and I think it improves the recipe - plus I never have to buy yogurt :)
