It's even sillier that I've never figured out how to clean without totally wrecking the place first. I'll try to pace myself eventually, but right now while I'm in the mood, I'm goin...

Oooo...that sounds really good! I'm just tired of the agenda around food. I spent too many years chasing around the latest 'healthy' thing - only to be told later that it was actually not very healthy at all, and the thing I replaced (oops) really was. Not only do I refuse to label food as healthy o...

I weighed in this morning, and the result is that I am down 4 pounds this month. That was exactly what I was hoping for, so I'm feeling pretty good about that. Not feeling as 'onthevergeofillness' as I was yesterday, so even better!

Personally, I just like trying new things. Yep. That's how I found it myself. It gets me in trouble at the store sometimes, though. There are always so many new and interesting things to try I have been known to get carried away and come home with things that looked interesting... but I have no ide...

Great, Diligence - I hope you like it...and it likes you! Auto: That is a tough thing to do. I found it messes it my eating so much. And so much of the time the 'experts' they have an axe to grind or a supplement to flog, or they're just plain wrong. Because of my 'rebellion' against the 'experts', ...

And fwiw - I don't eat any food for the health hype - and that includes forbidden rice. It's all 'blah, blah antioxidants' blah blah, longevity'. I eat it because it's tastes really good, and it looks pretty on my plate - especially BBQ chicken, snow peas and cauliflower :).

I actually wrote a whole, long post in the 'younger self' thread, and a similar one last night about that blog entry. Obviously I deleted them :). The worst years span two decades for me - and though I'm much better now, they are still painful memories, and the effects still linger. I feel like I do...

Maybe. In my mind I'm, if not still a size 5 a 12 at the very least. I catch sight of myself in a window and for a split second I don't recognize the woman in the glass. Maybe I just don't want to get used to her. I don't know.

It's getting close! I do have to work quite a lot in the summer on tech support, but it's not the same as having to do all that and my classes as well. I'm glad I got my gardening time in yesterday. It's downright chilly today! I only put out a few things that can take the cold. We won't be safe fro...

I really panicked at first after being face to face with the dressing room mirror. My first thoughts went straight to hardcore dieting and exercise but then I calmed down and remembered that I was losing weight on vanilla nos and that's all I really need to do is go back to that. Easy peasy! Oh, I ...

We're only talking about 2-3 pounds, but being my thyroid doc, he knows how tough it really is. Speaking of tough, it's been a rough week. Nothing particularly bad, just a lot going on. Hi there. Another name I remember from my early days here. I"m trying to think of a favorite comfort food - maybe hot chocolate? Not packet stuff, not low-fat and not microwaved. Just milk, sugar and cocoa heated on the stove. A couple of people here did bite counting. I think it can be extreme, but...

That happens to me with a couple of people on here Reflections on a four day weekend: (Yes, I had Good Friday and Easter Monday off. I need to live out of my freezer/pantry for a while. I usually do it earlier in the year, but put it off this year. Now it's so close now to the end of the school year I feel 'safe' emptying it.

How cool someone noticed your weight loss. I look forward to that day. Maybe this time it will happen.

Oh yeah, and a couple of chocolate mini eggs in betwe...

Note to Self: Even on an 'S' day, it's silly to eat food you don't even like. It's even sillier to overeat food you don't even like.

I got very interested in Bento a few years ago when my son was younger, but for myself, I tend to think of food as cold or hot - but not usually in between. The ideas on the website may spark some new ideas. I have three little bento boxes that I would like to use more often.

Noel, do you heat your lunches, eat them cold/room temp? I have a couple of cute little bento boxes, but mostly I use round glass containers and heat them on a mini crock pot.

I'm very seasonal with my food - (not intentionally, it just happens) and cold food is starting to appeal more to me.

Thanks for the welcome and comments! Things are going well despite some particularly trying circumstances. It really does help to head off mindless eating off by having a simple 'I don't snack' attitude. There is no thinking, bargaining, no vacillating - it's a simple 'no'. Or in the case of offered...

Apparently, I just can't stay away - or here for that matter. Or maybe this is my yearly check-in. I don't think I have ever fully abandoned No S. I find I dislike snacking even more as time goes on. It seems everywhere I look people can't do anything or go anywhere without food. And no one I know (...
