Same thing happened to me. Down here at the beach for just the weekend and the sky is the limit as far as food goes. Bought a fancy chocolate bar and I'm throwing it away because it just isn't that good. In the past I would have snarfed it regardless.

Welcome CrazyCatLady,

I'm realizing that I'm more aware of my body shape/size as I'm less aware of the scale number. Makes sense to me!

If I could just fully wrap my head around this truth, I would never binge again. I need to somehow picture binging as destroying.

Thanks,

f,

That is so funny. I started it about a week ago and I call it NoSlander! Sometimes I'm green, sometimes I'm red. Oh well.

Oh, and it's not my MIL-she is fabulous. Sorry you've got a ratty one.

Welcome to NoS! I'm pretty new too, just been here about a month and I love it! I was rather hungry between meals at first. I think that was mostly because my body was used to being fed every 2 hours. I like Reinhard's illustrations of our appetites/ habits being like wild animals or untrained child...

Thanks, Tink, I finished the plate later on (as another meal) The rest of the day I chilled by finishing a lovely lap robe I've been knitting-they pray over them at my MIL's church and then give them away to folks going through difficult times. It's part of their prayer shawl ministry. I love to kni...

Hey Jaymiz, I did the exact same thing! I got on the scales a few days into this plan (I'll not call it a diet) and I had gained! Worse than that, after my first weekend I was way up. Oh course that had everything to do with my acting like a kid in a candy store. As Reinhard says, "Don't be an idiot...

Today after doing all kinds of yard work, I finally ate for the first time around 1:00. After plating a lovely mixture of chicken, olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and w...

Biggest Scale Success Ever :D This morning I did the usual power walk with the poochies, then a quick trip to the store for essentials (hair color). Then I mowed the front yard, side yard and lower acre. Oh, and did some weeding in my garden-everything has sprouted but the carrots! In the past, I w...

I think what got me the most often (and what NoS addresses so well) is the grazing on anything edible anywhere in the house until too stuffed to move.

Wish I could say that the above behavior was a rare event.

If wishes were gold..........

You ARE a success!

I was re-reading some of Reinhard's book last night and he seems real big on the fact that weight loss is slow. I actually SAW that instead of just reading it. You are gaining power over this awful addiction to dieting.

Go Tink, Go!

I quit Weight Watcher's day before yesterday. But, you know how that goes. They will keep me active (and paid up) until the first week in June.
