One year of committing to sticking with No-S and not being swayed by other fleeting fads or diet techniques. My main goal is sanity around food but ...

When I feel like complaining tomorrow when the temperature only gets to 10 C (instead of 24 C like today) - I will think of you and hold my tongue! Hope your weather improves soon!

Thanks for sharing this! I agree with the premise of his new book - that we need to be cooking our own food. I really enjoy reading both Bittman and Pollan - they are two of the most reasonable voices on food around, in my opinion. I also like where he says if you're not hungry enough to eat an appl...

Thanks, Tobias&Lincoln's Mom! It was an awesome Monday. And Tuesday was pretty darn good, too, until.... Ugh. Binge when I got home from class last night - 2 gl white wine plus a leftover veggie burger that the kids left out, then 4 ryvitas w/ cheese, followed by 3 ryvitas w/ peanut butter. Bah. Fee...

Good job on Friday, sorry the weekend wasn't how you would have wanted. But still, S days, right? It's those kind of S days that make Mondays a relief, actually.

Here's to a good week!

Oh, Deb, I know how you feel - how frustrating it is when we sabotage ourselves like this. :( I had a bad day on Thursday, was also mad at myself. But I think we still have to recognize that there were good things - I mean you still had that entirely green day, right? Try not to beat yourself up too...

Thanks! My plan for the next two months (til the end of the school year) is per week: 2 gym workouts, 2 resistance circuits at home, and 30 minutes of walking/biking every day (with one day off on the weekend). My gym workouts are generally a 30 min hill walk on the treadmill, a weight circuit, 20 m...

And once you really wrap your mind around it, it really doesn't take that much extra time to prepare healthy things, it's just an idea we had in our heads about how much effort and extra time it took. And then after a while you get to a point (at least I did) where you actually look forward to that ...
