I should mention that my super-slim father always had some little sweet at the end of his dinner. He never ate snacks, and was very active. But he was a dessert-lover all of his life.

Siesta!

You know what I did during lunch at work today? (Hint: people in Mediterranean countries do this.) I took a nap. Closed my curtains, shut the door, set the alarm on my cellphone, and fell fast asleep on the loveseat in my office. I *never* do this, although some of the carpenters do from time to tim...

Breakfast -- latte, a bowl of cereal Lunch -- avocado sandwich, boiled egg, half a small pumpkin muffin, plum, two small cookies Dinner ...

Three hours of yoga? Wow.

(Maybe it's the classes I've taken, but I think I'd kill myself if I had to listen to three hours of New Agey faux-Indian yoga music.)

The pants don't lie!!!! I'm impressed because I find that woman's clothes are sized in such an incomprehensible manner. I'm pretty sure I wear everything fom an extra-small to an extra-large. The best one is that I wear a *very* small bra size, and own (adult sized) sports bras from Calvin Klein tha...

I know people who are physically incapable of enjoying themselves during a happy time, because they're already fretting about having to wash the dishes, or what the *next* activity is going to be. Okay, that person is my mother-in-common-law. She can't live in the (happy) moment, because she's compe...

I truly believe that the people who love food the most would be as unimpressed with this approach as you are. What you're describing is snobbery and showmanship, in the guise of food service.

Hope you have a great weekend! I've said it before, and I'll say it again: listen to your good friend Strawberry. The Berry is wise. It's a very easy pleasant jump from "grumblegrumblegrumble...All I'm eating is rabbit food" to "I've just made a beautiful tasty healthy meal that would cost big bucks...

Thursday and Friday were both successful.

I'm finding I'm less obsessive about recording my successful meals. As long as I don't get sloppy, that's fine.

From a member's daily check-in: You know what? I've never in my years of dieting considered just eating three meals a day. I've always counted points or calories or ate prepackaged diet meals. I swear, the more I learn about the diet industry, the more I hate them. This industry keeps people on a ne...
