Hmmm yes it's a tricky one with kids and food isn't it. I don't have any great advice, but the way you are modelling such a normal and balanced way of eating is certainly something that you should be proud of! Thanks Oolala, I can see how the dip could cause some pain or injury. I seem to be going ok with the move..I credit a month or so of Shovelglove for building up my shoulder strength. I may give your suggestion a go..even if it's just to mix things up a bit.

Hope you are well.

I was just thinking about this SpiritSong. I've been experimenting with different ratios of food at certain meals, and have discovered I am someone who sleeps well NOT going to bed hungry. I tend to have a smaller breakfast decent lunch and decent dinner. I'm only just beginning to feel comfortable ...

My s days were a bit over the top. I was feeling quite down about them but when I stopped and thought about how much I actually did eat it really wasn't that over the top..it's really just because my eating was not seperated into 3 distinct meals that it feels like I just overate the whole weekend. ...

Good topic..I've found this works for me.. rolled oats just softened with hot water or milk with a big dollop of Greek yogurt with nuts and banana on top, with a boiled egg on the side..I have coffee first thing and a hot water and then I can wait about an hour to eat. For some reason if I cook oats...

Free food

I find it amusing, since recommitting to no s, how much food I've been offered outside of meals. I've been offered muffins at a course, a biscuit put on my plate when having a cup of tea with a client, my neighbour dropping over her lovely bread and butter pudding..my favourite!! Nice one moderatemeals..this is something I tend to do..grab a bite or two off my plate before I sit down..but I like how No S gently pushes you in that direction anyway. As you only get 3 plates a day..best make the most of each one.

It's a shame isn't it..my husbands family is in Switzerland, and while it's still quite strong, the 3 meals a day routine, slowly things are changing such as not all shops close for the lunch hour and children don't all come home for lunch as mothers are working more.
Thankfully NoS exists!!
