Day 28
Day 28 begins The challenge today is that I have to make banana bread for the church freezer. I wanted to wait until the weekend, but I am just going to have to tough it up and stay out of the batter. I can refrain from slicing the bread, but oh that batter. Better get some chewing gum going and a g...

I had kept the tomato soup (a new Sam's Club no preservative thing) in the car after grocery shopping because I had planned to leave it at our "downsize" house. So I heated it up at the house we are working on (moving slowly to said house). It was strange...almonds at my house as I saw it was approa...

Here we go, Day 27. Had breakfast, but no veggies in the house, so off to the grocery store to get "no excuse" steam in bag veggies. Snow is melted and temperature is rising so walking the dog at noon. Afternoon update: Did get the frozen veggies ready so I can have my non starchy vegetables today, ...

Just wanted to stop in and say I am still here for the year. I have been posting on my thread, but I consider myself part of this group of folks who are committed for the long haul in a public way. I have 4 more days to complete my first 30 days of posting and keeping my habitcal. I think that is th...

Toothfairy If you haven't already done so, I would recommend reading the all time favorite discussions in the sticky of stickies, especially KCCC's stages of NoS. I think we might as well learn from other's experiences. There's good stuff out there to read and it is also helpful to reread especially...

Elizabeth, Just keep on coming and posting and reading other posts on this site while you ride out the urge to keep eating after a meal or to snack. It really does help to have a place to run to. Oolala has wise words. I, too, have been dealing with this for 50 years!! I don't want to spend what tim...

Day 26
It is a pleasant S Day so far. I had a sliver of pound cake and coffee for breakfast, but all else is all N so far. My No Snacking Fence is installed. I was tempted to weigh this morning, but I told myself it didn't matter what the scales said. I will weigh after 30 days which will be Friday morning...

Putting food on a plate. What a revolutionary idea. Yep, that would solve many of my issues. My default setting is to not only not use a plate, but not use silverware, and not sit down! So on S Days I need to put up those boundaries. If I am going to have a nice dessert, I should put it on a pretty ...

Good job on not cleaning your plate. I don't know if you were taught that in the UK, but many of us were told to clean our plates when we were little. It was wasteful otherwise. Of course that was never a problem with dessert. It is a real victory to leave some behind instead of scraping off the las...

S Day Thoughts
I am sure this has been written before by someone. It may even be in in the book. Folks have posted good S Day thoughts recently and I want to add mine. We all know that the "sometimes" needs to be in our S Days. We also know that we can't have a free for all and expect our bodies to ignore it since...

Day 23
Day 23 Mistake. I gave in and weighed this morning because I felt "light." I am at my heaviest, but I don't know what I weighed 23 days ago so I could have been much higher. But, and this is a big but, I am not changing anything. I am committed to 30 days of vanilla NoS and I am proud that I have cu...

Day 22
Day 22 has begun.
And now it is complete. Success.
I have "thoughts" of eating something in the afternoon, but have had success with a small glass of milk or a cup of broth. I am going to believe that little successes can snowball just like failures.

Day 21
Starting Day 21 at 3:30 in the morning. We were under tornado threats and didn't get clear until 4:30 so I ate Breakfast #1 boiled egg, buttermilk, and tortilla and went back to bed. Eating the batter and dough. I thought that was just licking the spoon and scraping the bowl and beaters. All S Days/Weekends should go so well. I will try to remember the feeling. Sunday was really just an N Day. I had kept the option open to have something special, but nothing tickled my fancy.
