Heidi,

I've had people tell me they have gone on diets to put some control back into their lives when everything else is out of control. No S is the perfect diet for this.

Intuitive Eating

Has anyone here ever practiced intuitive eating? (IE). I had tried this for 10 years after getting off the dieting roller coaster. It seems so natural and right but for some reason, I would tire of it lose a few pounds and then back the weight would come. It was the timing of hunger and how much to ...

Hi wren, I'm also short and sturdy (5'2"). Well, I'm not sure how sturdy I am. I down to 147 lbs from 160 lbs since early Jan. Eleven of those lbs are credited to No s since early Feb when I started this diet. I would have liked getting down to 125-130 lbs yet I think it will be more so I'll just go...

Digressing back to the homemade pizza: I would have a problem when baking me pizza in which the cheese would get golden on top. Don't like that. I asked my pizza man about it and he said to put the pizza in a preheated 500 degree oven (yes, 500 degrees) for 10 minutes on the bottom rack. I have done...

Hi John, Glad things went well for you and that your back! It also makes me wonder what the doctor meant by saying eating no saturated fats causes problems. Maybe because doing without it means no meat or dairy products which can cut out certain nutrients or if it merely cannot be sustained as a die...

Jeanne,

Every week that I was on No S (which I did strictly) I would lose alittle weight. But one week I had fried foods a couple of times. It still fit on one 9" plate but I didn't lose that week. Check out the content of your meals and if they are grease laden.

I love hot tea but since I don't drink it with milk or sugar, it doesn't satisfy an empty stomach. I usually have a large cup of decaf coffee with alittle milk or cream, especially if I want to watch something on TV.

Cassie, It took me a good four months of nursing before the weight started to melt off (I nursed all my children for a year). That was three children I had in my 20's. As far as the two children that I had in my 30's, the weight loss was very slow and minimal because not only was I older but I had a...

emily, I'm new also to NoS (one month). I just passed my third weekend. My first one had no ill effects, my second one gave me a mild headache all weekend and my last one gave me my heartburn back, a sleepless night and throwing up because the heartburn was making me nauseous. Tums didn't help but a...

Thanks LA, for the H2Orange idea. I picked up a few flavors of sugar-free Wylers on sale and a Crystal Light. Since I'm a plain water drinker I watered down the concoction even more. I also water down any juice I drink with carbonated water. In a one gallon container, I dissolved one packet or tub o...

Caroleann, Sorry, I can't help you about who to contact but I sure do agree with you. The commericals should match the shows content. I used to be a night owl and would watch I Love Lucy at 2am. The commericals were unbelieveable. I Love Lucy, for Pete's sake! When my children want to watch a tv pro...

I used to push a stroller in my neighborhood regularly when my children were young. It was my most grueling workout trying to keep the stroller on the right path what with all the potholes and the crown in the road. Shovelglove has nothing on the double stoller :)

I used to be a low smoker many years ago. I was very frugal so I put my cigarettes in the freezer, wrapped, before they became stale. I think it helped if I remember correctly. It got to be a nuisance always going into the freezer for a cigarette, so I quit. See, now there's a strategy!
