The fact you are bingeing makes me think you might feel you are depriving yourself, missing out and cramming it all in on the weekend. Think about your meals in the week, have food you enjoy and enough to feel satisfied but not stuffed. Enjoy them. :) Every meal should be a pleasure, this will then ...

Great news re the green day. :) Interesting thoughts re the chocolate cravings.. One thing that has helped me with sweet cravings is the promise to myself that' if I really want something sweet I can have it and I can have the best! I am therefore happy to walk away from cheaper less satisfying opti...

I treat holidays as S days so you can't fail!

That said I tend to only have 2 meals on holiday but will have snacks and sweet stuff if I want them.

Great idea to return to habitcal if you think the habits are slipping.

You've go this and your loss to date is fantastic, well done

Thanks, if things don't start to move, when you feel ready examine what's on your plate with a view to reviewing portion size or meal composition. Remember this isn't a diet but finding a way of eating that allows you to lose weight without feeling deprived. It can be slow but it's how you will be e...

Re: P

Something else strange - for me - happened tonight. I went to a local organization's pre-Halloween party. I decided I would count it as an S day if it was compelling enough for me to have sweets or snacks there. I ate a ton at that party last year. Tonight? There was candy and popcorn there and I d...

I've just checked my diary, my weight was a little up and down in that period but at the 2 month mark pretty much back where I started. It was after that it slowly started dropping. I probably started a little more walking at that point. It has been slow but whilst up and down all along the overall ...

I was at a training program at work yesterday that had absolutely nothing to do with eating or nutrition, but I think I can apply some of the lessons to NoS. After we had some instruction about the best ways to do X and saw some of the mistakes we were making, the trainer started asking us for our ...

Wow Octavia you have come a long way. My losses have been slow too and certainly at points the scales have gone up down up around a certain weight and then headed down again. The best thing is in 7 months I've learnt to eat normally without bingeing and feel I've got everything under control without...

I'm sorry for your loss, I know you are not feeling it as such now but keep a watchful eye on yourself, you never know how you may react even a year down the line.

That's raised an interesting question in my mind...

What exactly are you giving up, isn't this a way of eating for life?

Something that I have come to truly realise this last year or so is that making changes to make our life better is not always easy and even when we decide to commit may not be possible. But what we can change is our attitude to a situation and our thought processes about it. Therein lies true peace....
