Learning to listen to internal cues is a really important part of the journey, not essential in the beginning but long term will help.

Give yourself permission to eat it, then when eating sugar things sit and eat it slowly really tasting it, you will get to a point when your body says enough. So stop eating it. Knowing i...

Thanks for the support ladies, it is really appreciated I didn't quite manage a full nos day but ate significantly less and I was hungry when I did eat. I skipped breakfast as I wasn't hungry. My son bought me lunch whilst we were shopping and as a treat included a cake without asking so I ate half ...

It's been a stressful few weeks in the run up towards Christmas, I have served my notice period at work, had a family meal where my 21 year old nephew announced his girlfriend is pregnant, not planned and my sister turned on me over something and nothing. Whilst I was in the wrong for which I immedi...

Pasta and pizza are easy, make that for him, double up portions so you can reheat and then cook what you want. Again try and double up some recipes then you have another easy meal.

Hope you feel better tomorrow

Thats a real from the heart post Auto. Stop feeling bad about your parenting skills. It's hard, unrewarding work for the most part. You don't get a manual and all you can do is your best in the moment. Sometimes you'll look back and know you got it wrong but you are only human! Re the drinking, diff...

I must admit my habits are dissolving one by one but really this is the longest holiday at a time of year when we are conditioned to over eat. I'm going with the flow. I figure in 12 months one or two weeks out of habit won't hurt. Come 2nd Jan I'll be back on it and won't weigh until the week after...

It can be disappointing when losses are slow but you are making permanent changes and if you keep doing what you are doing it will keep dropping.

This really is the worse time of year, Christmas treats and cold weather. Adding more protein to a meal helps me through to the next meal. I'd try 2 eggs and maybe half a slice of toast extra.

Love the idea of losing weight based on what you don't eat :) Sounds like you are doing well if not perfect. I do think this time of year relaxing and enjoying the season is fine. It should be done consciously without binging though. I'm sure those people who easily maintain their weight do overeat ...

I am planning to do this painful site upgrade before New Year.

I'll try to give some advance notice before I dive in, and I'll keep a backup in case it's a total disaster and I have to revert.
