Welcome home, Linda!
Glad you had a really good vacation. It sounds wonderful!
I'm sure any weight you picked up through eating different things will go away when you get back to your normal routine.

Thanks for stopping by RawCookie. Yes, your system makes it FUN! They are so cute, lined up there, even if a few of them are looking embarrassed! I love that on NoS, I can go out to a restaurant for a moderate entree, large baked potato and a few of those little restaurant biscuits (savory) and it i...

Thanks Linda. That was a fun day. I am in the US and things are going along OK with NoS. Had a red Tues due to limited sweets (unplanned), but other days good. Decided to take St. Patrick's day as an NWS day. That involved some blackberry cobbler. Not too Irish, but yummy all the same. I have opened...

Hi and welcome!
You might try keeping your big salads, but do more with lemon juice or vinegar as far as dressing, with a bit of olive oil. That way you would be full of good ra veggies without the worry of too much heavy dressing!

Things are humming along here... I have really enjoyed posting on the monthly Check-In threads, with RawCookie's system of a little grid of emoticons to show conpliance! It is rewarding in a light, whimsical way that the Habitcal never was for me. I have allowed some specific trading of S days from ...

I imagine the others in your house have a really high metabolism either due to activity level or nature. It's tempting to eat as much as those around us, even when we don't have a metabolism to match. The one plate rule is so helpful for that! It's great to check in frequently for the support, if yo...

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It kind of depends what else is going on. There is little to be said for continuous snacking, ev...

I really admire my OA friends who are willing to weigh and measure in public. They know that their eyes are a poor judge, and that their "off" button is broken. If that's what they need to do, and do it despite people's reactions, I applaud them. Rather than weighing food, it is a whole lot easier t...

It helps me to state it in the positive: "I'm concentrating on enjoying my 3 square meals a day. Moderation in all things!" or some such. It has a traditional sound to it, and doesn't make it sound like you are being deprived of anything. But nosy people will always be there and try to get involved ...
