I've decided to stick to vanilla No-S for a full year, along with a daily check-in. Due to the fact that I've been on and off this plan since last August and have yet to find anything more enjoyable and sustainable, I know it is worth the investment. I KNOW No-S is the only plan I can stick to for t...

I wonder if this would help...I've heard it works.
I've heard Reinhard mention that some people following No-S allow certain foods to be eaten without considering them 'snacks'. For example, fruits; some people will allow themselves to consume ONLY fruits between their 3 meals, but they do not break the rule of No-Snacks. I've been having a real pro...

Day 8 - FAILURE! Today was another failure. Hm...not starting out well this month. I'm shockingly optimistic, though, because my failures are becoming much more minor than they have ever been. No more all-out binging, just little slips here and there. Hopefully, this means the habits are starting to...

Well....first day of the month....and a failure for me. :( Dinner was pushed back about an hour and a half, so I ended up getting ravenous and snacking. It was by no means a binge, but a failure nonetheless. Also, I think my appetite is feeling deprived because I did not have anything I truly wanted...

Today was fairly easy...although I wish I took more advantage of my S-days this past weekend because I think I may have actually under-indulged! Oh well...early S-day this week for Fourth of July...So I'll remember to make the most of it then! Still not sure whether or not my dinner portions are too...

My first S-days since getting back on track went surprisingly well. I was, ehm, hung over for most of Saturday, so my appetite was thrown off, but I still got to enjoy some good food. Today I did a little more snacking than I would have liked, but nothing major. Today is only a 4-day week as Friday ...

Today was actually pretty easy to get through. Probably because I was busy shopping and getting ready for a partly I'm going to shortly. Tomorrow is my first S-day, and my plan is to allow myself whatever I want as long as I stick to meals. I'm thinking about a cinnabon and coffee for brunch...MMM. ...

Today was hard, too. I was tempted to cheat several times, but I managed to get through it. I just finished dinner and will be working until 10 o'clock tonight. After that, I'll be too tired to even walk to the kitchen, so I don't anticipate having any problems for the rest of the day. My dinner was...

I think I'm having a change of heart actually. After not enjoying my coffee AGAIN this morning, I've decided to allow myself one plain latte with whole milk and a teaspoon of sugar per day, either from Starbucks or other coffee chain, or made at home. This way, if I'm rushed in the morning (college)...

Well, it was tough, but I managed to get through the day perfectly. I am satisfied with most of the meals I seem to eat frequently as far as size, health, and how pleasurable they are. After 21 days I'll probably reduce my dinner portions a bit, because I know that I don't really need a HEAPING pile...

What to do about coffee...
I'm in college, so it goes without saying that I've developed a strong liking for coffee, especially Starbucks. I love a latte, iced or hot (Just espresso and milk, none of the syrapy sugary junk...except for once in awhile, like on an S-day!). Normally I force myself to make coffee at home in order...

Jocelyn's NEW Check-in
I've been having a really hard time with consistency lately, and I feel as though I need a fresh start. I got into a really nice groove a couple months back, and I would really love to get back into it. I want to resume my No-S habits, exercising 3-4x per week and eating really healthy foods, and I ...

Day 3 - FAILURE! Ugh...I don't know what went on here. I probably didn't have a big enough lunch --- ended up snacking on junk and eating dinner early. I'm going to try not to do anymore damage before bedtime, because that's no good...but who knows...hopefully I won't use the failure as an excuse to...

I have actually started training for a 5k. I started before awhile ago, got about halfway through, and stopped for no reason. I was really disappointed that I didn't stick with it, and the other day my friend asked me to be on his team for a breast cancer 5k in early October...so I felt like that wa...

I know the first 21 days are the hardest...and knowing that it will get easier is comforting. Plus, I know I'm capable because I've gone way above and beyond 21 days before...just gotta keep dreaming about the weekend and plan and extra-special treat. :) Day 2 - SUCCESS! #1 - oatmeal made with 2% mi...

FINALLY! Wow...this summer has been suprisingly difficult so far...but failure only happens when you stop trying, right? Here I go, again... Ok...I think I've decided on a 30 minute run each N-Day, followed by strength training one body part --- that's about 45 minutes total. This really is not difficult for me, and even though I do have some busy days, I have a treadmill in my house so there's never an excuse not to do it since I spend ...

I'm 5'8 160...I don't think I've ever weighed less than 150 as an adult, except for when I was anorexic and weighed 118. That took only eating 500 calories a day and daily 3 hour workouts, so it definitely is not natural for me to be small. All those bad habits are gone, though...but I do go through...

Thanks for all the replies. Before I fell off the wagon so to speak, I was doing an hour-long run 3x/week, and a solid full body weight routine once per week at home. That limited my gym days to 3...which was really convenient because I could pick any 3 days depending on what else I had going on tha...

Has anyone reached their 'ideal' weight without exercise?
I've been on and off No-S lately, but I am doing better than I was. A few months back, I lost around 13lbs with No-S AND about 4 hours at the gym weekly, plus alot of walking around my college campus. So I was wondering, anyone that is at or near their ideal weight, what are your exercise habits lik...

Well i actually just discovered it....had never thought of doing it before, but read the suggestion somewhere and decided to try it. It was good! My only concern is that the sugar will send me on a rollercoaster, and the lack of protein will leave me hungry. Never have those problems with peanut but...

Buttery sweetness?
I just wanted to get a consensus on the following.... I love english muffins....alot. Most of the time I eat them with peanut butter, but sometimes I love a piping hot toasted english muffin spread with a little bit of butter and sprinkled with a little cinnamon and sugar. Would you consider this an...
