Re: Smoothies with fruit

Agreed, smoothies are great meals! We have smoothies and a side for lunch on most weekends.

If you're doing No S Vanilla, you probably should avoid it. Just have a glass of juice if you need it, and slowly wean yourself off of it, going up the totem pole of No S drink preferences.

Alright, then I agree! I'll call it a tiny fail next time. 😄 But I still mark it as red in my calendar. Today, we had a pie auction after church, and I had a small slice of both pies we got. That was delicious, and entirely worth it. But, then I discovered the left over pizza and whoosh, it took ove...

Hm, you really don't have a lot of fried stuff on your menus actually. Maybe try taking just one less spoonful or bite on each meal to reduce the portions? Let me know if you find a good trick and want to share!

Your meals sound great by the way. You could try swapping fried stuff for grilled options during the week, and seek out lighter defaults? If you're maintaining and not gaining, that's still good though!

Love the idea of hot chocolates! They can be dressed up to make it feel like a nice decadent dessert, and the instant ones are portioned out reasonably already.

Same for me this week! It's like if I allow myself to snack, then I'm off searching for snacks, and then I'm trying out new ones, filling some void, and then if it's salty I think oh, I need something sweet, and then I have a new pursuit, and this happens until I feel full and guilty. Weird, I think I lost my last post. :) Yeah, I agree, I find them so unsatisfying. If the leftovers are a complete wholesome meal, it's fine. It's when you have to supplement it with random snacks and other leftovers when it's regrettable!

S day dessert ideas for a family of four

Any dessert ideas for an S day that we could make at home, and would let a family of four (two kids 8 and 4) indulge in one reasonable / non-regrettable serving, (no leftovers)?

Thinking small batch cookies.. maybe. :D

Random leftovers lunch though :?
Those kind of meals are so unsatisfying! I've found that behavior was naturally correcting - I avoided that happening too often - it was a built-in response to the negative feeling after that kind of meal.
