And "whole" food at that. None of that diet, low-fat, skim, reduced, healthy, light, sugar free, tasteless, cardboard in a bottle filth for me!

Did I over do it? I over did it didn't I? :D

That's great news! Thank you for your persistence. I'm not sure if it's as a result of your efforts alone or in conjunction with others, but I see No-s is now listed as being "in stock" and the Angus and Robertson web site. I'll post a link on the home page. http://www.angusrobertson.com.au/book/no...

Great job on those 9 pounds! Well done. :) Just the mention of pasta in this thread has me thinking about dinner tonight which is going to be Spaghetti Bolognese. Mmmmm yum! I don't know how the paleo diet crowd survive long term, I really don't. Perhaps they don’t? I suspect they don't. I’ve ye...

29/7/2009 Wednesday: Evening Luddite SUCCESS - Stage 2 (TV and the Internet off at 11pm). I have decided to postpone my Shovelglove routine for the near future. In IT security there is a well known policy called “default denyâ€, basically what it means is that unless explicitly allowed something is denied entry/access. No S is vaguely a dietary version of this where the S’s are denied access by default (except on S days). To take it one step further the...

Possibly, but a little lean muscle mass is a great trade off for the fat burning and fitness benefits, especially while avoiding the dreaded cliché cardio routines that most of us men dislike so much. :D I've seen plenty of skinny crossfit people too so it doesn't seem to bulk up everyone by default.

Is it just me or do you guys and girls find “too skinny†to be just as unhealthy as “too fat It seems to artificially age people as well. I cringe when I see all the celebrities that used to have good shapes and physiques but are now mimicking concentration camp victims. In my mind it's quit...

A crossfit style circuit for 30-45mins is awesome cardio without the "I'm doing cardio" feeling of steps or aerobics. I'd recommend something like this for fitness and fat burning.

Marc, have you experienced any fatigue issues with the constant intensity you apply? I know for myself that if I don't have a mix of hard and easier days I tend to burn out if it's all just hard days and eventually need to rest a few days to recover. If you wake up naturally during the night (and it's not just a toilet break) then perhaps staying up for a few hours and doing something is worth trying. Pre-industrial era people slept in 2 sections during the night and often did a few hours' chores, knitting, whatever at the middle of the night. T...

I am having a very hard time restricting my sweet tooth. I was thinking, can someone start slow with that one? like for me, to go down to 1 sweet 1 a day, and then 1 every other day, so I don't break it? In short, yes it could work very well. I weened myself off a medication in a similar way since ...

BMI says this is obese. The Australian Government health initiative is pushing hip to waist ratios as a much better indicator and I agree.

If 21 one days really worked then alcoholics and drug addicts would have very little problem. Addictions often need to be fought for years on and off and some of them never qu...

As with all exercise ideas there are multiple views supporting or discrediting each of those times. You'll never get it "right" according to everyone so just do it when it suits you. The fact that you do exercise is much more important than when you choose to do it.
