Low carb under the following guises: Atkins; Protein Power; Blood Type Diet; and Paleo. They all worked beautifully in the diet phase but fell apart in maintenance (or maybe it was I that fell apart!) Eventually, after a few times through, they became slow to work in the diet phase, too. That effort...

Friday morning weigh-in: I have lost another 0.5, for a total of 8 lbs. in 28 days. I had some pretty sketchy meals this week (OMG, ramen!??) due to a crazy schedule. Interesting: at this time last week I knew exactly what treats I was going to have over the weekend. Today, I am not fussed about it....

I DON'T know when I am full, Annie -- you are not alone! an hour later, I know that I am overfull, but my shut-off mechanism is broken. Luckily, since starting No-S, I have only had that overfull feeling once -- there were potatoes involved. I think the one-plate limit is a kind of protection. Sorry...

Imogen, that's good advice for S days -- and if I am leaving room for dessert, it's an automatic limit on the main course, too! I am learning that if I eat correctly at mealtimes, the lack of snacks doesn't seem so important. Annie, isn't it amazing how successful low carb was? -- and how unforgivin...
