I eat a fruit-yogurt smoothie, usually around 250 calories, and sometimes coffee with cream and sugar. I'd rather dinner be the larger meal since that's the one my family can usually eat together. But if not, sometimes lunch is my bigger meal with a lighter supper.

Well, I've hit that mark...3 months of not really losing anything. Blah! But as I've been praying and thinking about it, one thing I've realized is that I think it's time for my portion sizes to decrease again. When I first went to medium plates, I was usually comfortably full and experienced hunger...

Welcome!

Reinhard has info on the site about his "glass ceiling" approach, which you may be interested in reading. He also talks about alcohol in the book (worth reading!).

I hope you have a great first week!

Honestly, I wouldn't change anything about how you weigh unless you want to. I don't think daily weighing works for everyone (I do it because I find weekly weighing and monthly weighing actually discourage me MORE than daily--no big surprises with daily weighing and if I'm suddenly up or down 3 lbs....

One other thing that popped into my head--how often do most folks weigh themselves on NoS? I usually weigh myself once a week (typically Saturdays, first thing in the morning)... would that be considered excessive? Not frequently enough? You'll find the whole gambit--I know someone on here who weig...

I keep thinking about this but I honestly have no idea how to count a lot of things that I eat, LOL! (A bowl of cereal? A piece of fruit? Meals where I put little tidbits of several different things that I just feel hungry for?) And whether it's a palm or my whole hand... Sorry I'm not much help! Wh...

Haha, anyhow, I'll certainly be giving this a full-fledged start on Monday! For you personally, do you find yourself utilizing the HabitCal? Or do you have a different way of logging/tracking your days? I'd love any tips or advice you can provide. I appreciate your time, Merry. Thank you so much! G...

So annoying that I keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Not huge mistakes but enough to keep me from feeling like I'm continuing to make headway. I do fine until after dinner. I mean really fine. Not much effort except for when I first arrive home from work. I arrive home hungry but I...

I think 'only in the company of others" is genius because it offers a no-thought-needed way to eliminate food we don't need on a daily basis while allowing us to really enjoy those social occasions that are so important to us. My problem is that my husband is perfectly willing to pour a glass of wi...

I like the idea of thinking "I deserve to feel lighter/weigh less/take pressure off my knees" etc... I need to play around with that thought process! I think I'd reserve something like a pumpkin beer for S days, and try to come up with another way to unwind at the end of a long day. An herbal tea? A...

Welcome! I'd think about it this way--what do you have to lose by trying it for several months? It's definitely casual, and it can definitely help with the food-thought-obsession struggle. Whether it would help you lose since you are so close to your goal weight is hard to predict, but it's certainl...

I LOVE the idea of being the cake cutter--pure brilliance! But otherwise, I'd walk around with a coffee or tea and chat with people.
