Re: Daily Check In: Anonymous-Coward

Like a naughty child backs down as they come to realise that their parent won't react to their screaming tantrums anymore - My urges will begin to back down, when they realise that I won't react to them. :D That is one of the concepts promoted in "Eating Less." The less we fight the urges and just ...

Congrats on your successes! Do you have any thrift stores in your area? Sometimes this can be a good option for the in-between time when we don't want to buy new clothes at a certain size. I need to head over there myself sometime and try to find jeans in my current size (because my two pairs wore o...

Way to go on the Milk Plan! Not only are you keeping on No S, but you're also getting your calcium. :D The No's do get easier. The last time I did No S, my coworker wanted me to try a Special K cracker and I wouldn't (you know, because I'm not allowed to snack). The cracker probably had 10 or less c...

Even our FAIL days contain quite a few mini successes if we take the time to acknowledge them. :) That's right. And of course the lesson here is to not have Easter chocolate in the house (and buy a new CD stand that won't cause so much trouble). :D 4/18 - Success (No S & Exercise) 4/19 - S-Day (No ...

4/17 - Fail (No S) & Success (Exercise) Yes, a fail. Had some stress building up from various areas of my life (plus the cheater weigh-in), and it resulted in several CDs being thrown across the room. Afterwards, I figured a better course of action would be beer and chocolate. Hey, the good news is ...

The only thing that is definitely diet-ish about this now is I am taking extra time to plan healthful meals rather than easy ones. That means chopping, washing, packing, sauteeing, steaming, going to the store for fresh things. All a pain, all things I'd do on a diet, but NOT a diet because this is...

And I noticed how many people take snacks when they are not even hungry (this is a guess on my part, i only assume they couldn't be because we just ate lunch). Hey, before No S, I would take the snack just for the entertainment. It just goes to show how we've broken down the "eat when hungry" conne...

Great lesson learned! Meals are so much more enjoyable when we are hungry for them, but first we have to learn not to eat at the first idea of hunger. This has definitely been one of the best lessons from No S for me.

Sorry you didn't feel well after your Sunday dinner. Perhaps sometime you can try having each of these things separately (the cheeseburger, the fries, and the sundae) to see if only one of them is the problem. If only one of the three bothers your stomach, you can still enjoy the other two. :D
