April has been a very up and down month and I can see that in my weight - I gained this month, which is not surprising when I consider I had 11 exempt days and 8 failed days (all failures due to snacking). Nevermind - May is nearly here and it is a new begining. I am determined to get back to Februa...

Thank you so much KCCC, that means do much right now. Ok, so my March blahs have dragged into April - add to them my son's birthday (lots of left over cake) and easter one weekend after another means that my start to April was worse than March. March Update
I am so glad March is over, it was a really blah month for me. Lack of sleep due to kittens, children, storms, hubby's standby, tendonitis and too much reading late into the night! This led to feeling tired all day which makes the temptation to eat so much greater. Eating seemed disrupted as well an...

Coffee and Starch
Ok, so after my successful February, I have experimented a bit this month and come to the following conclusions: Coffee is an "S" day treat for me. The days I drink coffee, I am perpetually hungry and even if I don't give in to the snacks my weight loss stops. Starches (Carbs) - I have never believe...

January was mostly a No S month with a few lapses here and there, but I was aware of the slips and as such able to rectify them. I maintained my December 2009 weight which was brilliant. Hi all 2009 - I felt as if I was battling to get into a habit and routine that worked but it definitely worked better than I realised at the time. Wow, Richie you are going great guns!!! Congrats on the No S and the exercise. On the indoor exercise, things I have found that I have done in the past and my son has joined in: - Sit ups - push ups (you can even do these against a wall at first) - leg lifts - walking on the spot - lift knees to par...

Another good week under my belt. I had 4 100% days with no problem. Friday was a NWS as it was our pastor's 50th birthday party. But it was not the whole day, just dessert after dinner which was fruit salad and ice-cream. I was so pleased with me as in the past I would have munched all day and had s...

Hi Hungry Girl This is the joy of No S and this amazing site, it is easy to get back on plan and you are always welcome. I am a multiple returner and it always feels so right when I get back on plan and so amazing to be so readily welcomed back here. Take each day one at a time and before you know i...

I am naturally a night owl, but I have to be up by 05h00 if I want to be ready to leave the house by 07h00 to get my boys to school and me to work on time. DH & I would happily stay up till well past mid-night and only get up mid-morning, so I really battle to get up so early. I try during the week ...

I have worked out that most times I have restarted No S I have made it part of a group of things I have to do to have a successful day (No S plus exercise plus water). While all of these extras are great, they tend to distract me from No S and when I slip with one of them my No S slips as well. So I...

Last week went well: Monday was a huge relief to be back to N days as the weekend had been an excess (but nowhere nearly as bad as pre No S) of snacking sweets. Tuesday I caught myself picking at dinner items as I was preparing dinner. Mentally smacked me over the wrist and stopped as soon as I noti...

Bizzybee If the 4pm munchies are abusing you at the moment, try having a glass of milk. I am also a 4pm muncher (anything will do) and I find a glass of milk around 3.30pm stops the worst of the munchies and allows me to get to dinner. I love your comment of "Its not a slippery slope its a damn Luge...

Thank you Bizzybee - it is so easy to get caught up in the negativity in the world to day, but it is amazing the difference it can make to yourself and those around you if you try and keep smiling and being polite and pleasant. Believe me I still have moments where I am rude and grouchy but I do my ...

Kathleen I have found this topic facinating. It amazes me how different we are and how different each of our triggers are. I love how you have modified No S to work for you and your thought processes. For me I have to stick with Vanilla No S or I tweak until I break it! I follow the S day rule - Sat...
