Back (again)

Time to resurect this again.

I had an OK festive season but I have to get me back on track.

I am back doing my 8MM (have done for the last 3 weeks) and I need to get my eating habits back under control with No S Diet.

I probably won't post daily but at least weekly.

WW / No S

I have tried amalgamating WW and No S and I found that I ended up following the WW (eat when every, just stick to points - which I never counted properly) more than the No S. I am now trying the No S by itself and using the 6 hour targets by drinking lots of water and herbal tea. It is such a feelin...

Back (again)

Ok, the children are back to school and day care, and the adults are back at work, so it is time for me to get my ducks in a row! I did fairly well with a lazy No S last week but this week has been back to old habits and I maintained. Starting today I am back to No S. 2006 is my year to get my body ...

The title says it all!! Much as WW works for me - I just cannot count points anymore and without that it does not work. Half the problem is that No S is so sensible that to be doing anything else just seems like over kill. So I am back to No S - restart again - as Reinhard says it can take many atte...

First full week of WP & No S - Success

I have had a successful week of WP and No S and lost that pesky 1kg (2.2lb). I have been using my varied Weight Watcher points (as per the Wendie Plan) and restricting myself to 3 meals a day with no snacks or sweets during the week (as per No S). Ok, so my curiosity about SG and what has you all so addicted to it got the better of me this morning! I just had to come and post as I am so pleased with myself and I know you guys will understand this: I was offered cake to day and I declined!!!!! I just politely said "Thanks for the offer, but I am not a cake eater" And I had to go and get my boss sausage rolls and samoosas for a birthday in our d...

I work full day and my eldest (7 1/2 yrs) is at school and my youngest (1 yr) is with a day-mother full day, so the temptation during the day is less than mornings and evenings - but I have been known to make up for an excellent day OP by binging in the evenings! Thankfully with No S is is w...

Breakfast

Peetie - I also start early as I need to get us all ready and out the house by 7.10am, so it is usually a 5.30am wake-up for me. My hubby is like yours and does not do the breakfast thing, he is more like Freakwitch with 2 big meals a day - Lunch at the work canteen and dinner at home and he is thin...

Day 18: Success

Day 18 - Monday 12th September 05: SUCCESS It was an easy day with no snacking urges. I was very pleased when I made my littlest guy a sandwich and cut the crusts off and I was not tempted to eat them, I just threw them away (Score one for me against the unconcious eating monster!) Exercise - 8 Minu...

MerryKat's (Mo's) Daily Check In

I started the No S Plan on Friday 26th August and I have just fallen into the plan as if it was made for me. I have had 1 day that was a battle (Thursday 8th September) - I was snacky all day, but I resisted and other than that my N days have been easy. I have been tempted to binge on my S days, but...

My experience with breakfast

When it comes to the breakfast issue I am lucky as I am hungry as soon as I wake up, but on the NoS I am definitely not as hungry - thanks to eating balanced substantial meals? I have increased the amount of food I eat for my breakfast and lunch so that the 10am and 3pm munchies do not strike. I def...

Deb Yip I get up at 5.30am and I am one of those people who wants and needs food as soon as they get up, so by 6am I am dressed with hair and make up done and ready to eat! Before No S I literally ate from when I got up till I went to bed again! I love food and grazing was permanent eating for me - ...

Favourite Fruits

I love Bananas - year round.

In winter I love Oranges and Grapes - that is when they are sweetest over here.

But we are spoilt in SA and have huge variety in fruit at reasonable prices, so we usually have at least 4 different types of fruit in the house (and I love them all).

Choosing between WW & NoS

Hi Patty Take the plunge and commit yourself to the 21 days (3 weeks) that Reinhard recommends. I know it is very hard to break the habit of WW (I also hate change and love the familiar) but believe me it is worth it. The sense of freedom being able to eat what you want for those 3 (or smaller 4) me...

I have wanted to post this for some time so I guess now would be the right time. There is a contingant of WW members who do the "Wendy Plan" That variation allows you to eat your allotted points throughout the week and then one or two days a week you deliberately eat over your normal points range. ...

Eating

Hi there To combat the 10am and 3pm munchies I have found that the following works for me: Breakfast - around 6am (I make this a big meal - about 1/2 again the size I was eating previously) Lunch - around 12.30pm (again I have upped the amount of food I was eating) Dinner - around 7pm (basically the...

8 Minutes in the Morning

Hi all I have read Jorge Cruise's book from cover to cover and his eating plan in this book is HORRID!!! TV Watching

For me the TV - food habit is a problem and as we watch a fair amount in the evenings (2hrs most nights) it really did help contribute to my weight gains. My solution to this is doing handwork. I do not allow myself to watch TV unless I am knitting, crocheting or doing tapestry. This really helps as...

How are you doing?

Hi guys I am also a reformed WW'er. I did a form of WW called the Wendie Plan where you shuffle your points daily to give you some days where you eat more than others and once a week you have a really high points day. This worked way better for me, but I am, like you guys, sick to death of journalin...

Howdy from Sunny SA

Hi All First off – Thank you Reinhard for consolidating such simple and sensible rules for life - and finally giving us an easy way to loose the excess padding. I have done Weight Watchers (and the variation Wendie Plan) for about 7 years. I have loved them and done very well thanks to WP, but I am ...
