Binge eating

Post by ammara » Fri Aug 08, 2014 9:29 am

Has anyone had success on Pms binge eating?

There's a lot out there on eating every 2/3 hours to stop the binding. Have to say this hasn't really worked for me.

Having read the book, I think I will try milk or 100% fruit juices if I feel as if I am going to lose the day otherwise.

Any advice?

Is your PMS binge eating because you are actually hungry or is it because you are grouchy and you deal with grouchy by eating to make yourself feel better?

If the bingeing is because you are hungry, make sure you plan for heavier plates and a little extra protein and lots of liquids. That's what gets me through my "tape worm days" where it seems no matter how much I eat, I can't get full till all of a sudden, I am.

If the bingeing is because you are upset, then that is more of a matter of finding new ways to deal with negative emotions, regardless of their cause. And that's a trial by error thing, finding what works for you.

Lol germanherman!

As for the PMS binge eating: I always plan for heavier meals and make sure to have some hot milky drinks to calm down my stomach pains, plus a hot water bottle when I'm in.

Thank you for the tips. This is where I always lose control and then give up.
Will try and make my meals heavier. And try milk or juice in between if I need to.

How much can I drink before I am full up-nowhere near as much as I can eat!

Sorry about not being explicit in the title!
