For me: yesterday we hosted a bonfire "gamenight" for the neighbors. The weather was perfect, the food delicious and the company convivial. AND there are plenty of leftovers so I don't have to cook today.

What a lovely topic, Gingerpie!

There wasn't any one thing in particular for me, but we had a beautiful weekend. Lots of time with family, beautiful weather, etc. It was lovely and restful.

Went to an art reception of an old boyfriend. (Ended on good terms.) Beautiful art, met his lively, friendly wife, and got to talk to his delightful mother, now 90 years old.

Of course, I'm assuming this thread doesn't HAVE to have a food component, but there was some great Middle Eastern food there. I wish I'd had room for the pizza, as it looked delish (and the reception was in Laguna Beach, CA, so I suspected they had used some really good caterer), but I pizza is usually easy to fiind. And I knew I was getting pizza later.

We have an earth oven in our backyard and had a bunch of people over to bake, eat and visit. Lovely time!
