Long time lurker, finally ready to jump in the deep end. . .

Hello all! I've been following this board for, like, forever. I've finally reached the point where I'm ready to commit. I've battled eating disorders since middle school (fortunately, not horribly serious). However, I've reached the age where my metabolism is no longer bailing me out and my binges on "just this once" treats are starting to have an impact on my health.
I've decided to commit to "Plain Vanilla", with one minor mod. The weekends for me will officially begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. This will work out best for me.

I gently suggest that you end your S days at lunchtime on Sunday, if you want to include Friday night. The two S days are not actually 48 hours long. They start on Saturday morning and go until Sunday night, which means they encompass about 36-40 hours. Or at least that's what I have deduced and recommend, having interpreted it differently and lived to regret it.
But whatever you choose, welcome and stick to it for at least a month, longer if you can. Discipline is probably even more important than the actual plan.

That would work for me - I was actually thinking about going for 5:00 a.m. on Sunday. My significant other likes to either go out or have a special meal in with a nice dessert on Friday and Saturday nights, hence the mod. No use following a plan of moderation so rigidly that it disrupts domestic harmony!

Welcome Desert Rat, you're gonna like it here!
I also start my S day from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch. It works well for my schedule, whatever works for you will be the best approach!
Enjoy your journey!
