Hi, Manishavyas,
Sorry to hear that you're feeling discouraged. We all have that kind of day from time to time. Tuesday, I managed to go off the rails and eat cake and then potato chips in the late evening. The main thing is to get a fresh start at the next meal. No reason why you can't have a plate of lighter foods, whatever you're in the mood for at supper.
There's also that tomorrow is a new day. I was just reading something Sally Dziadulewicz said on Yahoo health:
You’ll have good days and bad days, but keep going no matter what. Every day is a new chance to do your best.
That is the kind of reminder I need.

thanks sonya , a fresh start tomorrow.
i thought i had got past the mentality of starting on a slippery slope after one false step.
guess i need to work more on that.

It takes a lot longer than a few weeks to overcome WTH. Don't think something's wrong! You'll add unnecessary suffering if you think it's supposed to be automatic too soon. Work on it as long as it takes. Besides having rock hard reasons to want to eat moderately, it is probably THE most important skill for long term success.

Great that you are back on track.

I have permasnacking S days and red days every so often (3 years in) and it is a good reminder to me of why I don't like that way of eating. I try to keep that feeling in mind next time I'm tempted to snack.

It is no big deal. Start at zero, keep going. No one on this forum, even those of us who have lost weight, have had straight green. Today I ate like a champion. Tomorrow will be brautwurst and corned beef sandwiches, and some Coca Cola.

Bad days happen. They just do. Who knows why. But you can own them instead of them owning you.

Everyone has bad days -- even people who normally eat moderately have bad days now and again. As one of my daughters recently said, "a bad day doesn't define me." They happen and you move on.

Sometimes you'll have strings of bad days. Just keep on keepin' on. Do your best. Your best will be perfect some days, but many days, maybe most days, it won't be. It will vary depending on lots of other things going on in your life.
