Excellent article, thank you for posting. I think after years of yoyo dieting, I had come to realise that all of those things are true. I just didn't know how to put it into practice. Thank goodness I have discovered No S to give me the framework :D

Good article, and the one linked from within it about the "hunger scale" was interesting too. http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/the-simple ... vereating/

I might try to keep that in mind for S days and vacations.

That article is very interesting Merry. Reading it, I am not sure I have ever experienced Really Hungry, Nearing Empty or Empty. I may have thought I have but reading the descriptions, Hungry is probably the most I have ever been!
Definitely makes 3 meals a day seem manageable!

I need to read it again, but tonight when my dd made cinnamon rolls, I debated whether the World Series made it an S-worthy event (or even a red-day worthy event!), and then I thought--I'm comfortably full right now and while I might enjoy a taste, that would definitely put me in the overly full, why did I do that category. I didn't even miss not having one once I thought of it that way!

For those who would benefit, I respectfully suggest that the goal of weight loss (know the reasons why you want to lose weight) the author mentions be amended to the goal of moderation, which can be met before, during, after and without weight loss.

Having values for eating and habits really take the most advantage of willpower's benefit and limitations.
