Just some thoughts

I am 200 pounds now (5'2). I was thinking what if I am able to keep this No S lifestyle...let's say for a whole year...but I don't lose any weight. Will I be better off anyway?

That might depend on how much distress your current eating pattern is causing you in itself. However, I suspect that for most people, cutting out eating between meals is enough to cause some weight loss.

If, like me, you are prone to out of control eating, then simply establishing an ordered eating pattern can give a great feeling of mental relief. Not going through withdrawal and cravings (as often) is good. Another bonus is that after a while practising No S, I seem to have more motivation. Perhaps because I am not messing up my dopamine levels by food jags.

I think you will be better off and will probably lose a little weight without huge effort but you may just find you start to change things over time as you don't have to worry so much about food

Yes, I'm sure of it! I just don't how exactly and you'll have to actually do it to find out. What an exciting adventure it all is 😉

Kind regards,

I wonder too. And I even wonder what would have happened if I had continued with No S the first time I started. Now I weigh 15 pounds more. I would probably have them down

Anyway, I'm willing to try to find out and try again.

If you have been a frequent eater, yes, I believe you will be better off after a year of longer gaps between eating events even if you don’t lose weight. There are health advantages and mental advantages.

Do you have active health issues or conditions that could soon become issues?

What is the longest you’ve gone being compliant?

Best wishes mulling this over.
